Link's P.O.V
Lucy was leaving in five days. I really enjoyed having her love with me for the summer. Sure, we head are ups and downs. But don't all families have those?
I'm pretty sure Lucy knew our time together was coming to a close, so she spent every hour of every day with me. The only time she left me side was when she went to Singatron rehearsals.
Lucy always had me pick her up from the rehearsals, and we would always sing extremely loud to whatever was on the radio.
Rhett and I decided that since Lucy would be leaving in a few days, that she should come and be in GMM again.
I walked outside and knocked on the garage door. "Lu, are you ready?" I said through the door.
The door opened, in front of me stood Lucy Bleu. My daughter. She was wearing a white skirt that I thought was too short, and a light pink sweater.
"Let's go!" She darted out the door. I followed her into the house, where Christy made us breakfast. We both ate pancakes and hurried out the door
Lucy brought Talia. I wasn't sure why she brought Talia everywhere. It's kinda weird to be honest, but hey, I make YouTube videos.
As soon as we arrived at the studio, Rhett had already gotten everything ready. For today's GMM, Rhett and I decided to another Will it video. Today Lucy, Rhett and I would be doing, Will it Apple Pie?
The crew baked a whole bunch of weird stuff into apple pies. Lu, Rhett and I would be tasting each pie and saying if it will apple pie or not. Hence the name.
Lucy looked at me right before we started filming. "I'm kinda scared." She said. Her eyes were big, it was obvious that she was nervous.
"Hey, it'll be fine." I reassured her.
Rhett put his arm on her shoulder. She turned to him. "It's actually really fun. The first few Will it's we're scary to both of us, too."
I smiled at my best friend. I'm glad he accepts her. His whole family loves her. Every time Lincoln comes home from spending the night with Locke, all he tells Christy and I is how much Locke wants to hang out with her again.
"Yeah, and now look at us. We've done tons of these types of videos, some scarier than others." I said. Lucy looked back and forth at me and Rhett. She eventually smiled and hugged us both.
It was time to start filming. I had already told Lucy what she had to say, now it was just time for her to say it, and to say it right.
"Today we answer the age old question," Rhett put his elbows on the table.
"Will it apple pie?" Lucy and I said in unison. I hugged her from the side and laughed.
"Goooooood mythical morning!" Lucy exclaimed. Rhett and I both laughed. Lucy gave us both a puzzled look, but she ended up laughing.
We tried about 5 different apple pies. One of them had cookies in it. Which was surprisingly good! Lucy looked like she was having a good time. She thought most of them were good, she even laughed when I almost puked after eating squid apple pie.
After we tried each pie, we spun the Wheel of Mythicality and it landed on GHOST: the musical! So Rhett and I began some stupid song about ghosts while Lucy laughed her heart out.
During Good Mythical More, we announced that Lucy was leaving soon, and that she might be back next summer. Lucy told me that she wanted to come back.
I can't blame her. She has friends here. I've even met some of them! She threw a small little party for the members of Singatrons the other day and they're all so nice!
"We'll miss you Lucy." Rhett side hugged her.
Lucy smiled at us. "I'll miss you guys too."
Rhett and I both awed at the fact that she was going to miss us. At the beginning of the summer, Lucy hated us, now she loves us!
"Let's just end the episode there please." I said to the crew. Lucy and I then got up, said our goodbyes and left with Rhett. We decided to go out for lunch.
Lucy asked for KFC, so that's were we ate. "I wonder if KFC tastes better in Kentucky." Rhett said as he bit into his chicken leg.
Lucy was eating mashed potatoes. She dropped her fork and looked at Rhett. "It tastes the same. I have family that lives in Kentucky. And it tastes just like every KFC in Indiana, and in California." Lucy resumed eating her potatoes.
Rhett and I both looked at each other. I shrugged. After we were done eating, we headed back to the studio to pick up Talia. We left her there because the crew offered to watch her as we ate lunch.
Talia was too big for Lucy to pick up, so She carried a leash around. Lu attached the leash to Talia's collar and thanked the crew for watching her dog.
As we got in the car Lucy buckled up and looked at me. "Hey Link," she asked. I looked at her. Her face was red, and her eyes had tears in them.
"Oh no, what's wrong with her? Does she not want to see me ever again?" I though to myself. I buckled up and started the car "Yes, Lucy."
"I-if Mama Ali dies," she swallowed. "will you please take custody of me?"
I frowned and began to drive home. "What about Val?" I wasn't trying to be rude, but I didn't want her to leave Val for no reason. If anything, Lucy should stay with Val of Alison dies.
"She'll go crazy, Link." Lucy sobbed. "She's done it before, and I know she'll do it again!" Lucy wiped her tears. Talia tried to comfort her, but Lucy didn't want the dogs comfort.
"What does that mean?" I asked. Lucy cried harder, so hard that she couldn't answer me. answer me. I placed my hand on her shoulder. "What happened Lu?"
Lucy glared at me. "When I was 10, Mama Ali was hurt in a car crash," Lucy wiped more tears off her face. "And she was in the hospital for a few weeks, and she wasn't in good shape."
It was obvious were this was going. "And?" I asked, wanting to know more details. What? I'm a nosey person!
"And Mama Val s-starting drinking, and yelling, and leaving me home alone for hours at a time." Lucy looked out her window. "I don't want to live like that, Link."
I stopped the car, and hugged Lucy. I didn't like idea of Val yelling at her. Or drinking, or leaving her home alone for hours at a time! Sure she's 15, but she shouldn't be left home alone for hours. Maybe an hour or 2 but not HOURS!
"I won't let that happen, Lu. I won't."
