Okay hi how are you wonderful beautiful people?
Okay so today I'm gonna talk about something that has bothered me for a while now.
In my school, we have dress codes. Basically, it's directed towards girls only and there are a ton of rules revolving around it. They don't let us where shorts passed our fingertips, they don't let up show bra straps or wear spaghetti straps. They don't let us wear flip flops or slides. And for what? Boys education?
It's ridiculous. Us girls are limited to being completely uncomfortable for school. It's complete bullshit. Teachers stares at us, it's completely disgusting. It makes me sick, because we are twelve and thirteen years old.
Yesterday, I made a sort of petition about this. 54 people signed it, stating that they agreed with me. Teachers told me that I could get expelled for this. WHY??? It is freedom of speech. Look it up in the handbook, because there is absolutely nothing there saying that I can't make a petition and let people sign it.
This is stupid, and it's a problem. Dress codes are demeaning and sexualizing young girls everywhere. They need to stop, and it has to happen soon.
