Rae's POV

Jack was busy upfront talking to a person on his phone, to realise what was happening in the backseat. My forehead rested on his as our noses brushed. Our moment had gone unnoticed until Jack spoke.

"Ok lovebirds, we're here." Jack called to us from his front seat.

"Jack.." Harry warned.

My cheeks quickly reddened at Jack's statement. Realising how close we were, I hastily made my way from Harry, not desiring to be as close to him as I previously was. Jack had brought us to Harry's flat he was staying before the whole ordeal. Harry had told Jack to let me stay with him for a while until I could go home. I was thankful for that decision, not wanting Jack to know where I lived. He may have met my dad   in his concern for my absence.

Jack walked us up to Harry's door, and said his goodbyes. Harry unlocked the wooden door keeping us outside with the key Jack gave him. He held the door open for me and assisted me in by gently pushing the small of my back. I stood frozen in the dark hallway when Harry turned on the light. The dim blub gave the hall little light, but just enough to see. I jumped when I heard two honks of Jack's car, signalling he had left.

"Why so scared, babe?" His raspy voice sounded from behind me.

His hands came up to my shoulders gently rubbing them with the tips of his long fingers. He used one hand to gather my long dirty blonde hair to one side, making my right ear visible for him to speak closely to me.

"You're shaking," Harry stated quietly.

His hands slowly trailed down my arms, making their way past my wrist and to my fingers. Sending goosebumps up my spine. He played with my small fingers until he spoke again.

"If you want me to stop, tell me. I'll stop." He whispered.

Every fibre of my being told me to make him stop. But his overpowering presence had my mind elsewhere. I didn't want him to stop, he made me feel so weak. This was wrong; I was betraying my father.

"Harry, I-I can't," I quietly admitted. "I can't go against him." Harry knew exactly who I was talking about.

"He doesn't have to know." He squeezed my hands, trying to get me to speak again. I turned towards him to look him in the eyes. Pushing away the hands that tried to hold mine again.

"I can't hurt him like this. H-He was serious when he said he wanted me to stay away from you. I can't disobey him." I looked at him for a reply.

"Please think about it. They don't have to know. Please, Rae. I want to see you." He spoke quietly, taking his hands and cupping my face. Bringing mine close to his own. His palms cupped around my cheeks, thumbs rubbing small circles on the apples of my cheeks. "Please." He begged.

"Harry, I..."

"I want to see you, please think about it?"

"Alright." I nodded at him.

"Thank you."

***

I had walked back to my house after leaving Harry's. It was dark out, the walkway only illuminated by the street lights, and the glowing moon.

I made my way up to my front door, unlocking the bolts with my keys I pulled from my bag. I opened the heavy door, turning on the light and kicking off my shoes. Making my way to the stairs to go off to my room, I heard someone clearing their throat.

"Dad? What are you doing up?" I asked.

"Same question could be said for you. Why were you out so late?" He questioned.
