July 28, 1945

Adam could hear Jaylyn's screams from his cell as if he were standing right beside her. On one side he wanted to try helping her, but something at the back of his mind was saying she deserved it for trusting a Nazi. Either way, she was going through the same exact thing he had yesterday... torture. They hadn't officially killed him until early this morning right before they took Jaylyn, and considering she was the one behind planning the escape and shooting their guard, he could bet hers would be more painful. Around him other prisoners could be heard murmuring to each other, probably glad they were safe for today. Adam wanted to kill them too, though they didn't do anything wrong. In fact he just found he wanted to kill to get his frustration out in general, it was a strange feeling after not wanting to murder someone in so long.

As if his thoughts of killing had summoned him, Nick limped into view outside his cell. "They want you again."

"Over my dead body." Adam snarled back.

"They can arrange that... Jaylyn told them your theory, I'm sure Mengele would love testing it if you don't cooperate." It sounded like a threat but the Nazi only looked at the ground miserably.

Adam could hear the screams die down into a choked coughing fit. He stood up and walked to the door. "Hurry then."

The man gave him a slightly startled look before unlocking the door and leading the way. "You know what they want?"

"I can guess." Adam growled, glaring daggers at the young man's back.

Nick stopped and moved back as an older guard appeared. "This is where I leave you, Sladen will take you from here."

Adam turned his cold glare at the third immortal... the uniform suited Jack nicely. He could bet anything the younger immortal had been the one to alert the Nazis of their location, it wasn't even surprising.

Ripper grinned at him menacingly, loving the power he now held. "Better walk fast if you don't want a bullet through your leg. I'm sure Dr. Mengele wouldn't mind too much if it was a bit damaged."

Adam decided Sladen would be the first person he killed when he got out of this concentration camp. But for the moment he silently obeyed as he was guided into the dreaded experimentation room, the first thing he saw was all the blood splattered around the walls and floor, and after that he saw the bodies on the ground. Mengele glanced up from where he was aiming a bloody gun as they entered.

"About time Sladen!" Mengele scowled. "Strap that one down and get a team to clean up this mess! Beeile dich."

"Of course." Sladen purred darkly, an evil smirk on his face as he shoved Adam onto the table and tied him down quickly.

Adam turned his head to the side and finally found Jaylyn trembling violently as she coughed up blood in a corner, multiple bullet wounds could be seen among the bloody cuts and bones sticking out through her skin. He wasn't sure how long she'd still be alive but it was clear she'd managed to get free long enough to kill some of the people on the floor. Why they weren't finishing her on their own he couldn't guess until Nick appeared silently and helped her up before leading her out, anger flashed through him towards the Nazi. He didn't have much time to think about that however as a sharp scalpel bit into his flesh, he did however make out a gunshot a moment later that wasn't covered up by his screams.

A few hours later...

Jaylyn watched the guards outside the camp, behind her were two dead soldiers and Nick, who had helped her kill them. He walked up to her nervously and turned her around to face him. "This isn't going to work, you won't sound like a man and they won't let you in without a name."

"Then you do the talking." She said. "Tell them I had an accident that prevents me from being able to talk, and I do have a name remember?"

"If this makes everything worse I'm blaming you." He replied, removing his hand from her shoulder and walking into plain sight with her following.

The guard looked at them and immediately tensed up. "Who's that?"

Nick stopped. "This is John Schmit, he's been reassigned from air force after a nasty accident."

"Show him around, though with the enemy closing in I don't know what good sending him here will do... but you know, Hitlergruß." The guard saluted and Nick repeated what he said half-heartedly while Jaylyn copied the salute.

"Follow me." Nick guided her back into the camp. "I'll take you to the weapons first, you'll need more if you go through with the plan."

"Of course I'm going through with it." She hissed quietly through her teeth. "And I told you it would work."

"Just keep your jacket on, the only reason they don't know is because with that on your chest looks flat." He answered.

"I'll take that as a compliment." She growled.

Nick glanced at her. "It was a fact, not an insult."

Jaylyn fell silent as they got into a crowded part, it wouldn't be a good idea to mess up there. Then she might never get Nick's family, Abraham, and Adam free... he probably already heard she hadn't been found and thought she abandoned him, she'd have to go see him later and explain. But by the way the guards talked though, she might have help on the way, even if it was just a distraction for the soldiers, perhaps they'd all be free sooner than they expected. Just so long as the Red Army fought a bit faster.
