"F-Finchstar! Finchstars dead!' A sickening yowl echoed throughout our camp. Heatherpaw gasped, wanting to run outside, but she realized the battle was still raging and she had patients to treat. "Stay still,Sandpaw." Heatherpaw told the apprentice. He flinched,obviously hating the poultice. "Sandpaw!" Heatherpaw snapped. Sandpaw hissed as Heatherpaw squeezed the herb onto a wound. Brackenpelts eyes started to close,"Brackenpelt! Keep your eyes open!" Brackenpelt looked over and smiled,"T-tell Berrywing, I l-love her." "No! You're not dying!" Heatherpaw hissed and added more cobweb to stop his bleeding. "I-I accept my death. I-its just my time. StarClan here I c-come." His weak voice cracked with pain. Heatherpaw hurried to put more herbs on his neck wound. "Good bye- Brackenpelt slowly lost the life in him and was now lifeless. "Brackenpelt!" Heatherpaw yowled. "I-ive failed. I failed you. I-im sorry." Heatherpaw cried. "Heatherpaw. Its ok. You haven't failed me." A soft voice said. Heatherpaw looked behind her to find Troutpaw. WaterClan has come to help! "Troutpaw! Help me treat my clan- Troutpaw cut her off,"That's why I'm here." The two medicine cats helped the injured until they heard Crowstar yowl. "BreezeClan,retreat!' His yowl echoed.
"WaterClan! Continue to help the injured get to Fawnheart,Heatherpaw,Rockshade,and Troutpaw!" Gingerstar meowed.
After all the cats were treated The medicine cats gathered up the dead cats and lay them outside. "Three innocent cats died today do to BreezeClans wicked attack." Robintail started. "Heatherpaw,tell us how Lostsong died." Robintail pointed her tail at Heatherpaw. Heatherpaw sighed,"Lostsong died protecting me. I told her not to but, of course she had to. She served her Clan well and has given Crowstar some scars to remind him how horrid he is." "Mistyheart,how did Brackenpelt die?" Robintail asked the queen. "Brackenpelt died a hero. He protected my kits and Aspentail along with Fawnheart. Without him all of us queens and kits would be dead. I hope StarClan gives him the best afterlife." Mistyheart looked down.
"Finchstar died an honorable death. He protected his clan by fighting like all of LionClan." Robintails eyes watered. "WaterClan,let's leave EarthClan to grieve." Gingerstar beckoned his tail for his Clan to leave. Troutpaw touched his nose to Heatherpaws cheek in a friendly manor. "EarthClan thanks you for all you have done for us." Robintail dipped her head. Gingerstar nodded and left.
