"Ha! You'll never catch me!" Honeykit squeaked at her brother. "Yes,I will! Roar!" Blazekit purred. Heathergaze smiled watching her kits,she then frowned. 'If only....' She longed to be with her kits,to bathe them,feed them,care for them,be their actual mother. Not just pretending their not hers.
As Honeykit was running she ran into Sandheart. Heathergaze quickly unsheathed her claws,ready to attack the tom. "Watch it!" He growled. Heathergaze glared at the tom. Honeykit hung her head. "Are you okay,Honeykit?" Heathergaze walked to the kit. Honeykit nodded,"Yeah." "OK,just avoid Sandheart. He doesn't really like any cat." Heathergaze smiled. Honeykit purred,"Ok!Thanks,heathergaze!"
Sandheart watched the four kits closely. He smirked as he watched Bramblekit run into the warriors den. Brambles were caught in his fur as he wailed.
Heathergaze ran to the kit. "Bramblekit!" She unhooked him from the brambles and carried him to the medicine den. She applied cobweb to the bleeding scratches and growled to herself. 'Sandheart was right next to him! He could've helped Bramblekit.'
Heathergaze had made Bramblekit stay overnight. She picked him up and sat him in her nest. She curled up next to him,as he didn't sleep by himself.
As Heathergaze was closing her eyes,a dark shape loomed over her. Amber eyes glowing. Sandheart! Heathergaze quickly got up and hissed,"Don't hurt my kit!" Sandheart chuckled and launched himself at Heathergaze. With a swipe of his claw, darkness over flowed Heathergaze.
