"Heatherkit!" Hazelkit called for her sister,wanting to play mossball. "Yeah?" Heatherkit said,gazing at the Medicine Den. "Play mossball with me!" Hazelkit rolled a ball of moss to Heatherkit. Heatherkit smiled and tossed the ball back to her. The two played mossball until Robintail told the kits to come inside. "Robintail, we wanna play!" Hazelkit whineded, Heatherkit nodded in agreement. "I'm sorry my sweets, its time to rest." Robintail soothed the two. Hazelkit yawned,"But,we're not tired!" Robintail chuckled and guided them to their nest. "Good night kits." Robintail licked the top of their heads. The two slowly,but surely fell asleep.
"Heatherkit! Heatherkit!" Hazelkit bounced up and down in excitement. Heatherkit opened her eyes and yawned, "What?" "We're apprentices today!" Hazelkit practically screamed. Heatherkit gasped,"Finally!" "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Earthrock for a clan meeting!" Finchstar bellowed. Robintail smiled,"Good luck kits." The two ran next to Earthrock. "Hazelkit,Heatherkit. Step up here please." They stepped up on the rock. "Hazelkit,you have reached your 6th moon and its to become an apprentice. Until you earn your warrior name, you will be Hazelpaw. Your mentor will be Lakefur." Lakefur touched noses with her apprentice. "Heatherkit,it is your wish to become a Medicine cat, correct?" Heatherkit nodded. "Until you earn your medicine cat name you will be Heatherpaw. Fawnheart is your mentor." Finchstar finished. Heatherpaw touched noses with Fawnheart. The cats cheered the now apprentice names,"Heatherpaw! Hazelpaw!"
