I woke with a start as I looked around the room, remembering what happened I started to panic. I sat up and realised I was in my room, I checked my phone for a clue of how I got her and saw a text of Esther

'I heard him, I saw you so I hit him. You were knocked out and he tried to take advantage of you, I bought you home. Text me when you wake up. Love you'

I felt a smile creep across my face, 'finally someone who cares about me' I thought.

I quickly text her back saying 'I'm awake, thankyou so much, love you too Hun'

I decided to ring her but she didn't answer, I looked at the clock and it was 10.15, a normal lie in for me but maybe she's still asleep I thought.

I rolled over and ended up falling back asleep for an hour or so. I woke up with a start when my mobile started to ring

"Hello" I said groggily

"Hey babe how you feeling?" It was Esther

"Like shit" I sat up and looked in the mirror, my makeup was all down my face and I had a fresh lot of blood on my cheek

"Well you missed school today at least" she chuckled "mr James asked about you" she paused "I'm winking by the way" followed by a laugh

"Oh shush, I'm rolling my eyes by the way" I laughed "I completely forgot about school" there was a pause before she filled the gap

"I was really worried about you. I put you in my car and gave you to your mum on the door, she didn't seem too worried but I couldn't sleep all night"

"Aw babe I'm sorry, I'm fine honestly. Look I've got to go, sort my face out and that. Love you" I hung up before she could answer.

I got out of bed to find I was just in my underwear, 'thanks mum' I thought. I put on my fluffy dressing goun and whipped off my makeup. I could see the full extent of the damage. I had a massive black egg poking out of my face, just under my eye, accompanied by a nice open, bleeding wound.

"Shit" i mumbled as I prodded at it. I took a photo and forwarded it to Esther before I got in the bath for a relax playing the radio on the telly in my bedroom.
