"Hey Trin, did Drew ask you yet?" Ally nudges me as we wait in line for our lunch.

"Ask me what?" I pick an apple out of the basket and wait for the lunch lady to plop some mashed potatoes on my tray.

"You know, on a date." She smirks and follows me to our normal table at lunch.

"Al, he's not going to. I told you, we're just friends." I roll my eyes and bite into the apple, greeting some of our other friends at the table.

"Whatever you say." Ally giggles and points to him walking towards me.

Drew is one of our old friends since kindergarten. We kind of lost touch all through middle school. He came back for high school and started talking to us again. Drew has just been talking to me more than the others, causing them to think we have a fling. We don't. Drew isn't the type I would even date. He's a jock, a popular one too.

"Hey Trinity, guys." He flashes his pearly white teeth and sits in the free seat next to me.

"Hi Drew." I nod and pick at the disgusting food on my plate.

"I was kind of having struggles with my Algebra 2 work. Do you think you could help me?" He winks, causing Ally to squiggle beside me.

"Uh, sure?" I awkwardly answer. I'm pretty sure he's better than me. Last quiz, I looked at his paper to see his grade. He got a fucking 100.

"Great. Today after school, your place?"

"Sounds okay to me." I shrug.

"See you then." Drew pats my arm and walks off, high-fiving one of the other guys on the baseball team.

"Oh my god!" Ally starts screeching beside me.

"He just needs help, chill." I glare at her and scroll through my phone.

"Drew is so obviously into you. Right, Kael?"

Mickaela is our second closest friend. We just met her last year. Ally and her got along easy with them both being obsessed with Magcon and those flipping twins. I just kind of came into her life and she came into mine. We got accustomed to each other over time.

"Yeah. Drew is like the hottest guy in our grade, you know." She waves her fork around with broccoli still attached.

"Okay. That means girls are all over him. It also means he has other options for when I turn him down." I look at both of them and raise my eyebrows.

"You can not!" Ally slaps my arm, causing me to drop my phone in the pile of mashed potatoes.

"Great, thanks Al." I glare at her and walk to the bathroom. People whisper about me on the way. I don't catch any full words or sentences though. It's unusual for me to be the center of attention.

I walk into the bathroom, seeing that girls are gossiping around the sink. I go to the one that's free and grab a few paper towels to wet.

"Did you hear that the Dolan twins moved here the other day?" One of the girls giggle. They're freshmen.

"Yeah. I think I'm going to check every apartment building around here." The other one laughs and types stuff into her phone.

"Oh hey, you're Trinity right?" The third freshmen girl turns to me.

I'm shocked, so I hesitate a bit before answering, forgetting that the question was directed to me. "Oh, yeah."

"So, you like, live in an apartment right?" She twirls her hair around her fingers.

"Yes, I do." I nod slowly, ready for her to get at where she's going with this.

"Do you know the Dolan twins?" The other girl butts in, her eyes lighting up.
