Part XXI

Candlelight Dinner

Alex was busy preparing food for their dinner infact he is halfway of doing it but for sure Liz would show up late. He called to check whether she's on her way here while still doing something in the kitchen.

"Hello, why?

"Where are you?

"On my way there now, you?

"Coming home. Do not bother to cook because I just bought us something to eat.

"Afterall I was also tired so do you. Okay see you then. Bye!"

"I'm waiting for you. See you then. Bye." Turned off the phone and continue what he was doing in order to finish it while Liz was on her way now, he must do it faster before she arrives. Finally it's done & it could almost drop him down in a hurry to finish everything & make it perfect for a candle light dinner for them. He went upstairs to freshen up so that when liz arrives he smells good of course. After taking a bath he changed clothes and went down to fix the table & he make sure that everything goes under his plan while waiting for her he dim the light so that Liz would not think or feel that something is going on in the house then go to the refrigerator to get a bottle of wine with of course wineglass for two and the food was ready all were set. He lay down on the couch playing games on his phone but suddenly he heard the screeching of the car outside, he could almost jump out of the couch when he heard that Liz was here. He lit the candle and came over next to the door to open it.

Elizabeth was surprised. She could almost pop out screaming and about to slap him for doing it.

"What the-you scared me Alex could almost hurt you. You tricked me."

"Sorry about that. How's your school? You're late?

"Actually I passed here earlier before going to the press conference of my movie to be shown here so I wasn't able to inform you. I'll go up just a moment then let's have a candle light dinner it seems you planned it earlier aren't you?

"Not that when I arrived so I thought the set up I have to do would be different somehow looks so romantic even we are at home. Go ahead take a shower first so it would be fair for me."

Elizabeth ran immediately to the bathroom and filled herself with a warm shower after a whole day of exposure outside. She need to cleanse herself from all of that but before she forget that Alex is waiting for her down there she might as well get out of the bathroom and dressed up before he gets annoy of waiting for her. She walks slowly downstairs leading to the table where her prince charming is there busy holding his mobile not sure if he's playing games or texting someone else.

"There you go. What was it, who are you texting?

"Oh, there you are, sorry. Nothing I'm just playing. Ready? Smells good.

"I felt ashamed on you as per your request here I am fresh just came out of the bath tub and in the closet. Crazy!"She just laughs.

"Wait I just get the wine.

"Wow it's delicious, you cooked or you ordered?

"You're so exaggerated I worked so hard to cook that? Try it you might like the flavor."He then served her and ate it while putting some in his plate too for them to eat together. Pour some wine to make this dinner more romantic.

"Hmm. Taste good, you can already cook.

"Yes. My mother taught me somehow. How's the presscon?

"It's good. All is well; by the way Nick was there too.

"How's he? For sure they asked him about me?

"Yeah. But he answered it plain and safe. Did you ever try to talk to him?

"I still need time to do that and when that time comes it will happen at the right time but right now I'll leave it to them to figure out everything. So sure to show it here? "We're so happy atleast the wait is over. Finally they will see it that's really a good story.

"Of course you are the lead character that certain beside you're eyeing for an award again this time.

"Hopefully. I'll be having an interview next month on the other network.

"That's good for you to be able to promote your movie. Since you're a freelance that's okay no matter what network you go.

"I think that's a wise decision it's hard to be tied down because you do not have freedom of choice of the projects you want.

"Like you being tied up with me? You have a freedom. You turned my home into a hotel whenever you just want to go.

"You are indeed, stop there."

"When do you stay here with me? Are you willing with this set up?? You know honestly I find it difficult.

"When you are ready at all then I will move here. When no obstacle for us, for sure?

"Okay, where else this talk will lead us that might ruin the night I did for us. I've worked so hard for this.

"That's right, so we just ate.

"I'm planning to go out of town on holyweek wanna come?

"I have to think about it. Why don't you go to see your family?

"Of course, that's one day only then I go there directly to think and just relax.

"Let you know If I can make it.

"Don't force it if you're not really certain to go, I'm okay there.

"Suppose you invite me as there might also have someone to wait there so you do not compel me to join you.

"Here we go again, why'd I do that, and who will be with me there? The one I'd like to invite was busy because her schedule was full so I can't persuade she just said so.

"I go, my goodness Alex your style definitely not works for me as if I have not known you?

"It also appears me of being the actor sometimes effective this way in these situations. Just joking so I said earlier to you about my plans because I know you do not have schedule on that day.

"See it shows the real truth. You're annoying I'm serious Alex.

"You think I'm kidding on this one? I have no desire but to be with you every day Liz. So if I have free time I want to spend it with you. Is that hard to understand?

"Well then likewise. It's you.

"Whaat-me? That is why we are going out of town this holyweek so that we can make.

"You know you're very naughty and one more thing eating of meat is not allowed.

"Why, what the heck are you thinking there? We can build an idea how we will last." Smiling while the dimples jut.

"Oh stop it! Do not resort me to such things, I barely knew it."Just smiling.

"Really! Go ahead...let's go we sleep.

"Please behave I'm not sleepy. Later we were talking.

"Cracked the trip." He said whispering.

"You're saying?

"Nothing. You're too much. We just eat." The night wasted without someone beside me so pitiful, "he said to himself while smiling.

The night ended perfectly for a perfect couple like them. T'was a good night to remember for both of them, it's like a once in a lifetime experience they will both treasure forever. They close their eyes with smile on their faces.
