Part XXIX

Finding him    

All were present on the anniversary of the show. After the party everyone were heading directly to their respective vehicles to go home and rest. As for the two Alex and Elizabeth were nowhere to be found but Elizabeth was the first one to leave the venue of the said party as to where she hired a taxi to follow alex where ever he may goes eventhough she will be paying that much as long as she will know where he goes home. Sent her personal driver before charter a cab to comply with Alex.

On the other hand, Alex went straight to his car to ride and leave to rest because he has work the next day. Saw Elizabeth earlier, but did not even approached to check on his wife. Nor did it come to him so his suspicion was right to finish their relationship even more than he hurt if they continue. It's better to stay as civil to each other especially at work. Alex did not know that the rented taxi of Elizabeth followed him. Immediately upon arrival parked the car and entered the house meanwhile Elizabeth stopped the car for Alex inconspicuous that follows him. Now that she knew the place where it goes to as far as she can remember it's the place where Alex brought her here as they have arguments about Macey. She got out of the car headed directly to his house then knock on the door but luckily the door wasn't locked so she entered and looked for him maybe his upstairs at this time so she waited for him to come down. She sat on the couch holding her mobile texting somebody not knowing that Alex was right behind her and she hear him saying.

"Excuse me, do I know-?"Then he asked. As she turnaround to see him Alex could not believe his eyes what he saw right in front of him.

"You're surprised to see me Alex, aren't you? Didn't you expect that I'm coming to see you?

"Not exactly! I'm more than confused than astonish. You wouldn't come here to see me but because you've read the letter that brought you here.

"I don't really understand why did it all happened, I'm still thinking that it's too superficial if that would be the main reason why it made you so upset and we both knew that this thing can be settled right away & would not have lasted more like this.

"Shouldn't be if you have told me earlier so that I wouldn't take it seriously.

"You have not even approached me earlier at the party. I think you really can't forgive me so you did this letter.

"You're happy with that guy. I can see it in your eyes. What brought you here anyway?

"I don't have any man other than you Alex. How many times do I have to tell you that? Have you seen one?

"Why not ask yourself.

"I've waited for you to come on my birthday yet you didn't showed up. Why?"

"I was there but I walked away and go home instead as I've seen the two of you looking so sweet to each other. He even kissed you on the lip.

"No he didn't kiss me maybe you just mistook it by looking far away. Then why you didn't come to see instead for you to know I could perhaps introduce you to him. He's my co-star in theater so he dropby to greet me besides he's gay.

"What? He's gay really? I dunno. I'll take you home now.

"After I followed you, is that how you treat me? I don't know what to do anymore with you. I'm tired of chasing you, everytime you walked away in my life here I am trying to make things work out but you never ever took it seriously as I have not been important to you neither feel the love you had given me when we're together. I think I'll leave you now if that's what you want."Then she removed the ring on her finger give it back to him then walked away leaving the house.

The taxi's waiting on her outside. They drove home and paid the driver then went directly to her room. She can't feel the pain anymore for she's numb to everything she has been through with her relationship with Alex. Doesn't know what the future has instore for them.

Alex wanted to follow her but unfortunately it's not the right time for him to settle grudges with her this time as long as he can't understand & admit his fault on the matter not just her but also him for he wasn't able to fulfill his promises to her. How can he ever ask for her forgiveness if she ended the relationship like the way he wanted? Where does he start now? What will he do to win her back? The tables turned on him that he never expected. He still loves her but it's hard for him to justify everything maybe he was wrong to judge her yet didn't allow her to just speak from her heart for him to fully understand why did she agreed to have that interview without realizing the outcome because Elizabeth herself doesn't know also what would be the query to her. He's an idiot not to understand she's just protecting him and he has seen that it's hard for her to convey her answers to all the querries she had back then. Oh God! She's giving him a headache. He slept to forget everything for the moment and when he wake up tomorrow he will get to see her for good and never let her go anymore.
