Eventually Dean calmed down and we were able to go downstairs to the restaurant. Despite still feeling slightly full from my large and late breakfast I trailed along behind everyone, keeping my distance from Dean. I'd hit my head quite hard when I fell and wasn't sure if I could say anything that wouldn't get me dissected.

"You've gone quiet," Sam noted, falling behind to walk beside me.

"My head hurts," I murmured. "And for once it wasn't Dean that did it."

"Was it when you fell?" Sam guessed. I nodded and he looked thoughtful.

"There's got to be a first aider in this hotel somewhere," he said. "I'm not really hungry anyway, I'll take you to find one."

"Thank," I said gratefully, turning around and sliding back down the hall. Sam spoke briefly to Nova and Dean, who both shrugged and continued walking, then walked over to me.

"Front desk first," he said. "They should be able to help."

"With the grumpy receptionist?" I said, wrinkling my nose. "No thanks."

"You may have concussion," Sam said. "You need someone to check you out."

"I get enough people doing that already," I said airily. "I'll be fine, so long as I don't fall over again."

"Do you really think you can keep your balance?"

"No?" I said hesitantly.

"We're going to the front desk," Sam said firmly, taking my arm and leading me through the halls back to the front desk. The same receptionist was sat there but this time with a beaming smile.

"Hello!" he greeted us cheerfully, waving. "Is there anything I can do for you two?"

"Why are you being nice?" I asked before Sam could speak. "You were a grumpy lil' shit earlier."

"Don't be rude," Sam muttered but the receptionist just laughed.

"Oh, that was my twin," he said with a smile, white-blonde hair sticking up in every direction. "I'm called Spice. Don't even ask about the name." He sighed but then the smile was back. "So, back to my earlier question. Is there anything I can do for you two?"

"Mark might have a concussion," Sam said.

"I think I'm Mark," I said with a frown. "That is my name, right?"

"Oh dear," Spice said anxiously. "Here, I'll take you to the first aid room. But first..." He stuck two fingers in his mouth and whistled sharply. The receptionist from before appeared from a side door, scowling.

"What?" he snapped. His hair was darker and his eyes almost black while Spice's were green.

"I need you to look after the desk," Spice said. "Mark may have a concussion, he needs to be seen to." He smiled at me and ducked out from under the desk, tapping Sam on the arm and leading him down a corridor marked 'STAFF ONLY' in big, bold letters. As we went I heard the other receptionist muttering angrily.

"Stupid brother... Thinks he knows best... All smiles... Everyone loves him... Stupid name..." He stopped and I heard a low growl. "Dammit, I have a stupid name!"

"He's called Sugar," Spice said with a grin. "I think I got off lightly, compared to that."

Sam laughed as my frown deepened. "Where have I heard stupid names like that before?" I murmured. "Ah yes, Salt and Pepper." I stopped dead and stared as Spice continued walking.

"Things are starting to seem a little bit too familiar for my liking," I said aloud. Sam turned around to look at me curiously while Spice looked delighted.

"Are you remembering things?" he asked.

"Yes," I said, frowning once more. "And I don't like it."

"We're at the first aid room now," Spice said reassuringly. "Everything will be fine." He unlocked a door and pushed it open, leading the way into the room.

"Jump onto the bed," he said, crouching down to open a cupboard. I pulled myself onto the paper-covered 'bed' that was more like a bench and folded my arms. Sam stayed in the doorway, blocking it for anyone going past.

Spice straightened up again holding a little torch. He shone it into my eyes and I hissed. His eyebrows went up and he lowered the light.

"You're not human," he said, his voice surprisingly calm.

"How did you know?" I said sarcastically.

"Your eyes are black under the light. But now they're blue." He frowned slightly. "What are you?"

"Trouble," I said, slipping off the bed and immediately falling forwards. "And I definitely have a concussion." My world blackened at the edges and when I finally focused it was on someone's face a few centimetres from mine. A two headed cat, one head with brownish fur and blue-gold eyes and the other with blonde fur and pale blue eyes. I screeched and it vanished but I fell back and hit my head even harder than before on the floor, my screeches getting louder.

"You sound like a velociraptor," Dean said. I didn't know where he'd come from or why he was suddenly there and Nova wasn't but I decided that it was the right time to give him a speech.

"Deanyul, I am sorry," I said morosely, my vision blurring. "Sorry for calling you Deanyul, sorry for singing about you, sorry for being an annoying lil' shit. Sorry for swearing and being a burden. Sorry for spoiling your potential futures. Sorry for taking your brother's focus and making it go onto me. Sorry for ruining everything. Sorry sorry sorry." I blinked and smiled faintly. "But as soon as you meet Cas then you will not deny that you're bi. I mean, Castiel is adorable and Destiel will live forever!" I raised my fist weakly and punched the air.

"Sam, you are now free to leave," I announced as unexpected tears filled my eyes. "Leave me behind, Moose. I am no longer a burden. Never will you hear Shaadespeare quoted ever again, bad puns made, dramatic entrances and exits, flirting an innuendos.." A thought struck me and I gasped. "You'll be alone in bed! Dammit, you were warm as well." I glared at nothing in particular. "But Sammy, dear, don't crash the Impala. Or sell your soul to a devil. That goes for you too, Deanyul." I sighed dramatically. "And please don't find my Tumblr. Do you even have Tumblr in this world? I don't know. You'd better or I'm leaving to annoy someone elsewhere." I struggled into a sitting position and saw the two headed cat again.

"Oh yes," I said, looking it in the eye and then turning my head to look up at Sam. "Before I go - the demon cat has come for me - Sam, I must tell you something." I took a deep breath and focused my vision on the worried man one last time. "Sham is our ship name. Never let it die. Just because I'm about to die and be dragged along by the two headed cat does not mean I won't come back. When I return, if you're eating some girl, then good. But if you're snogging her..." I frowned sternly. "I will eat you."

One of the cat's heads, the blonde one, sighed deeply. The body moved and two mouths bit down on my arms, pulling me backwards into some kind of portal. I left singing 'Carry On My Wayward Son'.
