For over a century, mankind warred with itself. Worldwide conflicts consumed the lands of life and resources. Soon, even the powerful powers that once governed the world fell to war and it's consequences.
In this long period where there were no governments, humanity almost went extinct. It wasn't until the efforts of a few courageous people that humans would rebuild what they had lost during the last great war.
These new, megalopoli would stand as beacons for a new generation of humans to grow and develop far beyond their primitive ancestors. These city-states would govern themselves and work with each other to help the remaining human race survive and prosper.
Many years passed and the five megalopoli began to have conflicting ideas on where to take humanity next. One city, Magnolia, wanted human kind to evolve and travel beyond Earth and explore the cosmos. Everest, wanted mankind to stay the same and focus on rebuilding the Earth that their ancestors had destroyed many years ago. Soon, these debates would turn into skirmishes with one another, until eventually, Magnolia City was wiped off the face of the planet along with all of their work and research.
After this time of war between the two grand cities, Everest took control of the other three megalopoli and now have the most power among the four remaining city-states.
Now, as a new era for mankind begins, a new form of technology begins to replace older technology. Spearheaded by the almost omnipotent Corpus Industries, machines begin to take the roles of enforcers. While many don't seem to mind this, some people do not like the idea of heartless machines acting as a policing force.
Additionally, ancient technologies and weapons from days past began to resurface, showing many that the past can't be erased.
The year is 2531. A series of events will shape the future of mankind once again. Whether it be for the betterment is still left to be decided...
