The three of us sat there in silence not knowing what to say. It was a little harder than I thought to start a conversation with this guy being a third wheel and all. Where would I even begin to start a conversation? I was always good at jumping into things without thinking it through, but wasn't so great thinking about what would happen after.

By this time, the buses had already dispatched. We were on our way to Corpus Industries for the trip. The busses took the quickest way possible to get to the destination, but that way was still gonna be like two hours worth of road trip. Corpus Industries was in a completely different division of Everest, and traveling through divisions was time-consuming. Most of the kids were already chatting it up, while a few students were fast asleep. To be frank, everyone was way more lively than the three of us. Especially the kids that slumbered.

"Hey Grey. Who's the cute boy?", A girl sitting a across the aisle from me asked. She spoke quietly, probably to avoid getting Sin's attention. "He's new and his name's Sinclair", I whispered back. The brunette looked interested in him. She got on her phone and completely exited the conversation. I guessed she was just curious about him. Having been done with his "interaction", I went back to the awkward quietness.

Sitting on the seat closest to the center aisle was a mistake, since I didn't have a window to look out of, but at least I wasn't in the middle spot. Sinclair looked extremely uncomfortable at the moment, having to sit in between two weirdo strangers. Blythe was looking out the window, probably too shy to pull one of her books out, let alone look his direction. She was probably scared of what Sinclair might think about her.

I thought for a second, trying to think of a way to start a conversation between the three of us. Obviously, I had to think about the elephant in the room: Sinclair. He was still a major mystery to both of us. Naturally, the conversation should start with him being the main topic.

"So Sinclair, where are you from? You said you were new, so I'm sure Bly and I would like to know your place of origin", I asked him out of the blue. He gave me a condescending look before he said anything. "If I told you, you would not believe me", he answered. Blythe, interested in the topic, leaned in and chimed in. "What do you mean? You're not like an alien or something, right?". She clearly meant that as a joke, but Sinclair didn't catch it. "Alien? Don't be stupid. I would not be sitting here if I was". He spoke in a way that belittled her greatly. The expression on her face was that of shock and embarrassment.

Blythe sat back down in her seat and looked back out the window. I could tell her face was tomato red from the the little bit I could see of her. Geez, I didn't realize Sinclair would be a mean guy. Than again, I really didn't know what to expect from him. "Uh, anyways. You're not from Everest, are you?", I asked him. The proper thing for me to do was get his attention away from Bly. I know she acts very weird around guys she's into, so it was best that she made as little contact with him as possible. That and I was making sure Sinclair didn't say something that may seriously hurt her feelings.

"Why do you care?", He asked me. I let out a smug shrug and responded. "Just being a little curious friend. Is that a bad thing?". Sin looked at me for a brief moment, but then looked away. "Curiosity killed the cat you know", he stated.

While we both exchanged these words, Blythe had pulled out one of the books she had brought along and began to read it. She was instantly absorbed into it. I could tell because she began to mutter some of the word aloud. Sinclair quickly took notice of it. "What are you reading?", He asked calmly.

Blythe kept on reading the book, completely oblivious to his words. "I am talking to you girl", he stated loudly. Before I could intervene at all, Sinclair snatched the book from her and began to examine it. "Hey! What the heck!?", she exclaimed. Sinclair quickly flipped through the first few pages, quickly skimming through. I simply say there and watched this unfold. It was oddly entertaining to see them interact I had to admit.
