Kian's POV

I put the plates in the sink as my mom turned it on. She started to wash them as I opened the dishwasher, ready to dry the plate-ware then put it in. "Isn't it Luke's turn to do this?" I asked.

"yea but I needed an excuse to pull you out of there." mom said.

"Why did you need to pull me out of there?" I asked as she handed me the first dish, and I dried it with a towel then put it in the dishwasher.

"Did you and Rosemary.... " she asked, trailing off.

"wait what do you- MOM NO!" I said then changed my tone when I found out what she was talking about.

"Then why is she here and... in your clothes and her hair was a tad bit messy when she came down here?" she asked.

"I met her at the bus station on the way home from meetings." I explained.

"And you invited her to our home? She could've been a murderer." She said, stopping from cleaning the dishes and looking at me.

"She ran away from her foster mother." I said, "She needed a place to stay."

"Why'd she run away?" Mom asked.

"Her foster mother abused her." I explained, "I just felt bad and let her stay, can she please stay? I mean we have that room next door to me and we never use it and we never have guests." I said.

"Poor girl." mom said, "And yes, she can stay. Did she bring anything from her old house?"

"Like a backpack full but she said all her clothes have holes in them."

"Okay, I'll bring her on a shopping spree later this week, thank you for telling me."

"No problem." I said as I closed the dishwasher, when we finished doing the dishes.

Rosemary's POV

I walked upstairs and down the hallway to the room leading into all teh bedrooms. "Shit," I thought, "Which one is my room?" I thought to myself. I walked up to a room on my left and opened the door slowly. I peeked my head in and saw Luke, shirtless sitting on his bed playing video games. "Oh hello." he said as he noticed me.

"Sorry I thought this was my room." I said, about to leave.

"No," Luke said, "Please stay, you can join me and play some video games if you'd like." He said.

"Oh okay," I said as I walked in, "But I've never actually... played before." I said.

"whoa whoa whoa." he said, "No way." I sat down next to him and said, "I've never played."

"Where are you from?" he asked, "Because I'm never going there." he said, joking around.

"I'm from Oregon but they have video games there, I just never played." I explained.

"Oh, well how are you enjoying Cali?" he asked.

"It's cool.." I said.

"Did you travel all alone?" he asked.

"Uh yea...." I said

"Why'd you come over here all alone?" He asked, "Such a beautiful girl like you shouldn't travel away from home all alone..."

Should I tell him the truth? Should I hide it from him?
