*after the party, in the car ride home*

I smiled as I sat in the backseat, staring out the window. I felt a stare on me and I looked up to see Kian staring at me through the rear-view mirror. "Someone's in a good mood." Luke said, making me look at him, who was turning himself to face me, from the passenger seat. I nodded, smiling even wider. "I think she's a bit drunk." Luke said to Kian, and Kian nodded, agreeing with Luke.

"AM NOT!" I said.

"Did you drink?" Luke asked me, cocking an eyebrow. I shrugged, muttering, "Maybe."

"How much." Kian said in a stern tone.

"1 cup." I said.

"Sam gave it to you, didn't he?" Kian said pulling up to our driveway. I didn't reply and got out of the car. "Rosemary." Kian said in a stern tone, getting out of the car. I continued walking to the front door. Kian grabbed my arm and stared into my eyes, "Did he? or did he not?" he asked.

"He did, but he didn't pressure me into it, I wanted to." I said, snatching my arm out of his grip.

"Dude leave her alone," Luke said putting his arm around me, bringing me inside. Luke brought me up the stairs and into my room, and Mrs Lawley was there, stanging in my room, putting some shopping bags in teh corner of my room. "Oh hey mom." Luke said, letting go of me.

"Hey honey!" she said giving him a hug, "Back so soon?" she asked.

"Kian wanted to get back before his cerfew." I said.

"Well that's a first." She said, chuckling. "Hey Luke you should go change, you smell like sweaty teenagers." she said, causing us all to laugh.

"Alright ma." he said then walked out, closing the door.

"I got you some clothes." She said once Luke left the room. "If some don't fit you can give it to me and I'll return it." she said.

"You didn't have to." I said. "I have some money and I'll be out of your way soon."

"Honey..." she said as she patted the area next to her on the bed. I sat down next to her. "Your a 16 year old girl, living in this harsh world alone," she explained, "You can stay as long as you want, Jack and I will help out as much as we can." she said.

"Thank you Danielle." I said.

"It's no problem." she said, "you should get some sleep, it's getting late." I nodded, "Thank you again" I said.

"No problem." she said, "Good night."

"Night." I said as she walked out.

Why can't everyone be as nice as the Lawleys?
