Chapter 38

I woke up, shooting up from my sleeping position. I looked around the room to see no baby, and no Kian. I took a deep breath, calming myself as I looked at the clock beside my desk. 4:29AM 

I laid back down and grabbed my phone turning it on, knowing I won't be able to go back to sleep. I went onto my messages and clicked on Kian's name. 

RoseMary: Hey r u awake? 

I clicked the send button, not expecting for a reply, as well as hoping that the text didn't wake him up. But, unexpectedly I got a text back form him. 

Kiki: Yea, I'm awake. 

Kiki: I heard you gasping in there.. u OK?

Rose: Yea I'm fine... just a dream

Kiki: awe did u have a nightmare?

As I read the dream over and over again I thought about my dream, before I replied. 

Rose: No, it wasn't a nightmare, it was peaceful... just... a bit... weird?

I sent the text, sighing. 

Rose: But I can't sleep anymore :(

I watched as my phone showed me that Kian read the text, but he was not typing. I stared at it waiting for him to text back. Then all of a sudden I heard my closet door fly open, hitting the wall behind it. "AHHHHHHHHHH" I screamed at the top of my lungs, falling off the bed. 

"Oh my god!" I heard Kian's voice, laughing. I saw him walk over to me then said, "Oh my god I'm so sorry." he said, helping me up. "I didn't mean to startle you." he said.

"Mmhmm..." i hummed sarcastically, "Sureeeeee." 

"I'm sowwy." he said, giving me a puppy dog face, "Will you ever forgive me?" 

"Of course Kiki." I said, giggling, sitting back down on my bed. Kian sat down next to me and we rested our backs on my headboard. The last time we sat together on top of a bed, we kissed. I looked at Kian to see him looking at me. "School's starting up soon." he said, trying to start small talk.

"Mmhmmm." i said. "I'm nervous"

"Don't be." he said. 

"But I am tho Kiki." I said. "Everyone will either know me as the weird new kid or Sam's ex.... the girl who broke his heart." 

"ORRRRRRRRRRRRRR" Kian said, "My fabulous, awesome sister." he said. I rolled my eyes. "What?" he asked. "It's true though."

"Okay okay." I said. "That too, but no offence, I wanna be known as me." 

"You will." he said. "You gotta show them how great you are." he said, causing me to smile. A genuine smile. "There's the beautiful smile I missed." he said, smiling wide, which caused me to blush. 

"Kikiiiii." I whined. 

"But it's true." he said. I smiled even wider, staring into his eyes. He leaned in slowly and I don't know why but I did to. I felt his lips on mine once again. And i could hear fireworks go off. All my problems slid away and it was as if it was just me and him.
