Bonding with P

When I woke up the next morning, I noticed Steven was still next to me. I got up out of bed, careful not to wake him, and I went downstairs to greet the other gems.

"Hi everyone." I said, yawning and rubbing my eyes.

Pearl had a smug look on her face "So I saw you let Steven share a bed with you last night?" 

I was a bit surprised "Uh yeah.. He had a nightmare at 3 am. I didn't want him to be scared."

Pearl looked very happy. She messed up my hair, revealing my scar again. "Seriously?!" I asked, fixing my hair.

She bent down and uncovered my scar, like Garnet had. "Poor thing." She said. "You don't need to hide it, you know."

I shrugged. "I guess you're right."

I began to walk toward the stairs when I ran into a wall. "Ow."

Pearl chuckled. "Can't you see?" 

I shook my head. "I can hardly see as it is, but my eye is covered and my glasses are upstairs" I ran upstairs and grabbed my glasses before sliding down the railing downstairs. I also grabbed a hair pin and pinned my hair back out of my face. 

Pearl smiled. "That's better."

"Pearl, what was my mom like?"

"Your mother?" She asked. "Your mother, Onyx, was the strong silent type really. When she met your father, we never really saw her. She was beautiful, with eyes that changed color. She had black hair, and she was short. I remember that she had very small hands." She chuckled. 

"Do your eyes change color too?" she asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, but they're brown right now because I feel neutral. I always have a headache though."

She nodded like she understood. "So, I know your mother played an instrument, but can you play any instruments?"

I smiled brightly "Yeah! I play electric guitar, drums, and I can play the piano."

"That's nice!" She said.

"Yeah, I really like the guitar. It's really what's most comfortable to me. But I'm best at drums." I shrugged. 

We saw Amethyst get up and she came over to us.
