Steven's POV (bet you didn't see that one coming)

After we solved the problem with the wailing stone, we all went back home. Celeste sat on her bed and took out her phone. She was staring at her phone with a look of concentration and determination. Piano note noises were coming out of her phone and her thumbs were moving quickly.

"What are you doing?" I asked

It took her a moment to answer because she was so into whatever she was doing. When she took a break she looked up from her phone. "What?" she asked.

I asked her again.

"Oh. I'm playing a game. It's called Tile troubles."

"Cool! What is it about?" I sat next to her.

"Well, you have to tap the black tiles and avoid the white ones while it speeds up. Here, I'll show you." She started over and began to play it, her thumbs tapping the black tiles quickly until she missed and tapped a white one. The tile flashed red, and the game ended. "I meant to do that." she said.

"Can I play?" I asked.

She nodded and handed me the phone. I tried and failed. I handed it back to her. She began to play again.

When she failed, she said a swear word and covered her mouth. "Don't tell P-"

At that exact moment, Pearl popped in the door. "Don't tell me what?"

Celeste went pale. "I-I- Um.."

I cut her off. "Celeste was going to surprise you with something, and she told me what it was."

"Oh." Pearl said and left.

"Thank you Steven." She said and smiled as she went back to her game.
