Chapter 20

"She was shot"

Oh my god...

"Wait what?" I couldn't believe this. I don't know what's going on right now.

"I don't know all the details but, she was working at the mall like usual and then someone comes in and starts shooting." He said with a shaky voice, tears forming in his eyes once again. I feel really bad for him. They've been together for what seems like forever.

I didn't have much to say so I just sat there looking at the ground. I sighed and got up.

"Drake, you need some rest, please go lay down or something?" I looked over at him and he just nodded. "I'm gonna clean up" I walked into the kitchen and started picking up glass and things.

•Timeskip•

I finished cleaning and I just collapsed on the couch. It seems like its been hours, it probably has. I was laying there for about 10 minutes so I decided to go up stairs and check on Drake.

Fast asleep, that's nice. I smiled to myself. I went over to my room and sat on my bed. I checked the time and its... holy crap its 3 in the morning. Sigh.

Should I tell Karkat what's going on..? Ugh why does this have to be so hard! Dammit (Y/n) he's your boyfriend for gods sake! But I'm 99% sure he's asleep. Fuck it. I opened pesterchum and decided to message him.

CH: um Karkat..

CH: I know you're probably asleep but

CH: I wanted to let you know..

CH: jesus fuck this is hard.

CH: my brothers girlfriend, I think you've met her, she was shot.

CG: OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED YOU WOKE ME UP

CH: oh my god I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you!

CG: NO ITS FINE..

CG: IM REALLY SORRY ABOUT YOURE BROTHERS GIRLFRIEND

CH: Ivy, yea thank you Karkat that means a lot.

CG: NO PROBLEM. DO YOU WANT ME TO COME OVER?

CH: oh no its fine. you don't have to!

CG: ITS FINE I WANT TO, ONLY IF YOU WANT ME TO THOUGH

CH: I don't care..

Ugh do I want him over? It would be nice to have some company but he needs sleep.

CH: you need sleep. I'll see you later Karkat.

CG: ALRIGHT, NIGHT (Y/N)

CH: night karkat.

I sighed and turned off my phone. I laid down and tried to get some sleep.

Its been about two hours and I still can't get to sleep. Ugh screw sleep I'm staying up.

I went down stairs and decided to get some breakfast. Woo breakfast.

How about.. waffles. Waffles sound good. I put a waffle in the toaster and waited. What time is it? 5:44 Drake normally gets up at 8 or so. I sighed and stared at the toaster waiting for my waffle.

It popped and it scared the shit out of me. "OH! My gOd." I half whispered.

I took the waffle out and nommed in it. To lazy to put things on it.

I finished my waffle and went up stairs to check on Drake not thinking of what might happen..

I reached his door and slowly opened it. "Hey Drake, you doing okay?" I looked in and oh my god..

He was sitting on the edge of his bed looking out the window. With a gun to his head.
