Chapter 15: A Little Surprise

Oh shit now he's probably mad at me. Ugh what did I do??

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I was hitting my head on the wall and I turned around and Karkat looked very confused and weirded out.

Great! Look what you've done (Y/n)! Making a fool of yourself.

I sighed and sat down.

"Eheh.. Sorry.." I scratched my head.

"No need to say sorry again fuckass." I looked at Karkat who was just looking at me.

"Hey uh, (Y/n).." Karkat was now blushing a bit.

"Yeah?"

"Well.. After I get out of the hospital, if I do-"

"Not if, when" I smiled and let him continue.

"When I get out of the hospital," He corrected himself, "I was wondering if we could meet at the park on the swings, like we normally do? I want to tell you something.."

I smiled. "Sure"

•Timeskip•

It's been a week and Karkat finally got out of the hospital.

I was waiting at the swings and I saw Karkat walking towards the swings.

"Hey Karkat!" I called and waved.

I wonder what he wanted to tell me.

"Hey (Y/n)." He sat down on the swing next to me.

•Karkats POV•

Alright.

You need to man up Karkat and ask her out already.

"So what were you gonna tell me?" (Y/n) smiled.

"U-um... Well." I but my lip.

C'mon Karkat! Jesus.

"Look (Y/n), I really like you. A lot." I scratched my neck.

"R-really?!" (Y/n) looked really excited. "I like you too.." She blushed and looked away.

"No, I mean more than like. As in I have fucking crush on you alright?" I raised my voice a little and blushed and looked away.

"Exactly what I mean too. I really like you. A lot." (Y/n) smiled.

"Your serious?"

"Yes. And are you serious?"

"Well, yeah."

"Alright then." (Y/n) looked around. "What now?"

"I really don't know..." I sighed.

I didn't ask her out. I told her I liked her and now she likes me back. Does she really like me back? Ugh.

•Your POV•

Holy mother of cows. Karkat likes me back!!!!! Wait. Does he actually like me back? He could be tricking me... I've been tricked before...

•Flashback•

"Hey (Y/n)!!" I heard someone's voice call my name and I turned around to see Isaac, my 7th grade crush.

"Oh hi Isaac!" I smiled and waved at him.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me?" Isaac smiled.

"Oh wait what?" I was really surprised.

"You heard me. Do you wanna go out?" He put his arm around my shoulder.

"Sure." I smiled.

"Great" Isaac smiled and walked away with his group of friends.

•Timeskip•

We've been going out for a week and he told me to meet him at the park.

I was waiting on one of the benches and I saw him.

"Hey Isaac!" I smiled.

"Hey (Y/n)." He sat down next to me.

"So, I don't think our relationship is working out." He looked me straight in the eye.

"Wait what?!" I got up.

He stood up and said, "This has been a joke this whole time. I never liked you. This was a game. See ya (Mean nickname)."

He walked away and all of a sudden his group of friends came up and started throwing eggs at me.

•End of Flashback•

I was so stupid then. After all that my friends kinda stayed away from me..

"Hey (Y/n)! You alright?" Karkat waved his hand on front of my face.

"Oh yea! Sorry just spacing out." I smiled.

If he asks me out I'll probably say yes. I couldn't care less if he does any of that stuff to me. I deserve it...

"So since we both fucking like each other, do you wanna go out?" Karkat blushed

"Sure." I smiled. Here we go..
