Chapter 12: Hangin out

The next morning came and holy shit it was 11:30. I need to get ready in 30 minutes!

I got up and brushed my hair and did the morning stuff I usually do. I wore one of my favorite band shirts and a (Favorite Fandom besides homestuck) zip up hoodie unzipped with some red jeans.

I checked the time again and it was 11:40.

I went down stairs and ate breakfast and watched what Ivy was watching on TV.

I finished me breakfast and looked at the time again 11:50.

Meh I'll go anyway.

•Timeskip•

I got to the park and sat down at a swing. I then realized something. Why is my heart beating so fast..? It's not like we're going on a date and he asked me out! Get together, to be nervous and be yourself. You got dis! I told myself in my thoughts.

I then saw Karkat walking down the sidewalk wearing a black hoodie with his normal grey jeans.

"Hey." I waved at Karkat and he waved back.

"So what do ya wanna do?" I asked kicking the ground to swing.

"How about we walk around the neighborhood?" Karkat asked stuffing his hands inside his pockets. I nodded and got up.

We left the park and walking on the sidewalk around the neighborhood.

"Wanna play a game?" I asked. "Why not. What game?" Karkat sighed.

"A question game. We go back and fourth asking each other questions and we have to answer. We only get one pass" I smirked.

Karkat sighed and nodded. "Who goes first?"

"I will I guess." I then started thinking of what question to ask. So many questions.. what to choose? aha!

"What was wrong that one day when Gamzee was with you at the park and when I was on the swing?" I smirked. Then his eyes got big then went back to normal. He then sighed.

"Well, I don't wanna use my pass.. but I also don't wanna answer this." He mumbled very quietly but I managed to hear him.

"Fine, I guess I pass." He stuck out his tongue. I pouted. "I'll figure out one day Karkat... one day! But this also means that you have to answer any question I ask you now! Ha!" Then he frowned.

"Alright, I guess it's my turn.. Fuck.." Karkat then started to think.

After a little while he finally came up with one. "What's your favorite color?" He asked.

"Oh well it's (F/c). I've liked it almost my whole life! It's just stuck with me..." I then looked at the ground. "Reminds me of my mom.." I said very quietly so he couldn't hear.

"What was that?" He waved his hand in front of my face. "Oh it was nothing." I fake smiled. Like I usually do.

"Ok fuckass I'll figure out I know I will." He smirked. "My turn!" I said loudly on accident. "Oops.."

"Hmm.... why were you crying yesterday?" I almost ran into a pole "oh shit eheh." I scratched my head.

"Oh... well um. It's because.... god fucking dammit." Karkat facepalmed. "Well you were sad so I decided to comfort you and then it just reminded me of some things..." He sighed.

"What are those things?" I asked. "It's not your turn (Y/n). It's mine now." He smirked and I hit his arm slightly. "Fiine." I wined a little bit. Then he pushed me into a fence we passed playfully. I sat down on the grass next to the fence. "Well it looks like it's my turn." He sat down next to me.

"What was the thing you mumbled?" He turned to look at me. I sighed. "I said my favorite color reminds me of my mom, I know it's stupid.." I trailed off.

"It's not that stupid." He sighed and leaned his head back on the fence.

Another silence.

It then started to rain. It was pouring. I smiled. "I love the rain"

"It's ok I guess." Karkat sighed. I got up and spun around on the sidewalk.

The rain made me feel at peace. Karkat got up and stood on the sidewalk. Just looking at me.

•Karkats POV•

(Y/n) started spinning around in the rain and I got up and looked at her.

She's so beautiful in the rain.. I sighed and looked up at the cloudy sky.

"The weather didn't say that it was gonna rain today.." I heard (Y/n) say. "I'm not complaining though" I saw her smiling.

"Yea.." I sighed.

•Timeskip•

It stopped raining and we went back to the park.

"I'm gonna head home, Drake probably wants me home by now for dinner." (Y/n) said standing there holding her wet hoodie.

"Alright, seeya later I guess." We walked our own directions to out houses and then someone's arms wrapped around me.

I turned around to see (Y/n) hugging me. "U-uh what do you want..?" I felt my face heat up a bit.

"Just a goodbye hug! Thanks for hanging out with me! This was fun.. We should hang out another time." She said letting go and then she started walking away giving me the 'peace' sign.

I sighed and walked home.
