Chapter 7: After Le Sleepover

I woke up and noticed that Nepeta was awake but Jade was still sleeping.

"Mornin" I yawed. "Good morning!" Nepeta hugged me.

"So.. I noticed that I had some drawings on my arm.." Nepeta looked up and glared a playful glare.

"Oh yea sorry bout that." I scratched that back of my head. "and also it's not just on your arm.." I smirked.

"Oh um ok then." Nepeta looked all around her body then looked at me and I smiled.

She got up and walked into the bathroom.

I decided to check on Jade.

Still asleep.

Soon Nepeta got out of the bathroom with the drawings still on her face.

"But.. I did get some payback." Nepeta smirked.

"Oh." I wondered what she meant- oh. She probably drew on my face too.

I got up and walked into the bathroom. I checked my face for the doodles and what do you know cats.

•Timeskip•

Me and Nepeta washed our faces and soon Jade got up.

"Morning sunshine." I stuck out my tongue. "Or should I say good afternoon" I looked at the time.

"Huh? What time is it?" Jade looked around for a clock.

"1:30"

"Oh."

I stuck out my tongue and rolled on the sleeping bags in the living room in front of the TV.

Ivy came down stairs and was still in her Pjs.

"Oh it looks like you girls are finally awake." Ivy smiled.

"Yup." I smiled back.

"You girls must be hungry then." Ivy sat down on the couch that was behind the sleeping bags.

"Oh yea, I almost forgot. Haha." I got up and walked into the kitchen and Jade and Nepeta sat down at the counter.

I got out a box of waffles out if the freezer and put some on the toaster.

"Want waffles?" I asked and the two nodded.

After we ate breakfast we got dressed and walked to the park.

"So school is starting again soon." Jade pointed out.

"Oh yea I forgot." I sighed. I hate school.

It was spring break and there was just a couple more days until school started again.

This was a small neighborhood town thing so there was one or more schools. I dunno.

"Karkitty!" I heard Nepeta call out to Karkat I'm guessing.

"Oh hi Nepeta." Karkat sighed.

I sat down on a swing and watched the park.

I sighed and remembered my childhood. So many memories there..

"Me and Nepeta are gonna go and do some things. Talk to you later (Y/n)!" Jade smiled and walked off with Nepeta.

I waved goodbye and decided to listen to music.

I put on my headphones and blocked out my surroundings with the music.

I looked over to Karkat who was also on a swing looking at the ground.

I removed one speaker from my ear and looked at him a little longer.

He looks so sad.. I wonder why. I guess I might understand him considering all the shit I've been through. I sighed.

"Hey." I decided to start a conversation.

"What do you want?" Karkat sighed.

"You look sad. I was wondering what's wrong that's all." I started to swing.

"Oh it's just nothing really." He said blankly.

"It's not nothing, I can when there is something wrong." I sighed.

"Well there is nothing wrong, and if there was you don't need to worry about it." He raised his voice a little.

"Just trying to help." I sighed, "I'm here if you need anyone to talk to ok? Just know that." I smiled.

"Yea sure whatever." He looked at me and I smiled.

"Why are you smiling?"

"No reason."

"Whatever."

I stuck out my tongue and continued listening to music.
