I lay awake in Alex's waterbed. It was so comfortable, the only problem was I didn't know where he was. I needed some clothes that weren't dirty. An aroma of bacon filled my nostrils. I got up and went through Alex'a drawers until I found a baggy blue T-shirt and black with red trim pajama pants. I walked downstairs and the aroma got thicker, a little piece of heaven.

"Good morning," Alex greeted. He was wearing an apron and cooking bacon! Every girl's dream. His hair was a complete mess but I didn't care, free bacon.

"Where oh where have you been hiding all my life?" I bolted over and nibbled on a piece of crispy bacon.

"In the closet, what!" He joked.

"I sure hope not. You're not turning gay on me, are you?" I raised a eyebrow.

"Nope, not after last night," he leaned over to kiss me.

"One time deal, I was cold!" I grinned.

"Oh, come on!" He complained.

I stole a piece of bacon and shoved it in my mouth and swallowed. "Nope," I kissed him on the cheek and walked over to the dining room table and sat down.

"Beautiful way to spend a Sunday," He took out all the bacon and started to crack eggs.

"Sure, I get free bacon," I rejoiced.

"You like bacon?" He asked.

"That's like asking 'do you like breathing?' Yes I like bacon, ya meatball!" I laughed.

"Okay then.." He continued to cook.

"She'll be looking for me any time soon," I said laying my hands on the table and started to pick at my finger nails.

"What even happened?" He became nosy.

"She screamed at me for being like Tanya because they found beer in Kathleen's system," I explained.

"I don't like Tanya," He told me.

"But lucky me, she's my biological mother!" I sighed. "And I'm just like her according to Nana. Impossible, we're so different in so many ways."

He handed me a plate of bacon and eggs, "let's get your mind of this."

"How?" I asked.

"This weekend there's a party, would you be my date? It'd be a perfect way to show off our status as a couple," He was excited, obviously.

"I don't know Alex..." I bit into a piece of bacon and chewed.

"Please?" He gave me the puppy dog eyes.

"Fine!" I agreed. "But you have to do something for me."

"Anything, Jen," He smiled as he nibbled on his own bacon, I guess we both left our eggs for last.

"You got to get your parents to invite me to supper sometime during the week, your parents haven't even met me! And I would love, love, love to meet your baby sister!" I set my regulations.

"Fine, but I warned you about them. They like to know everything!" Alex warned.

"Fine with me," I ate another piece of bacon.
