Kathleen picked me up this morning, I was starting to think she was the anti-Christian version of Christine and I was finally moving on from Christine's death. Kathleen still believed that I should tell Alex, what was I suppose to tell him? That I didn't cheat but I did at the same time. Kathleen said she'd be there for support, and that I didn't need to worry because she'd stick by me the entire time.
When we entered the school, all eyes were on me. "Oh look." "It's her." "Ew." The possibilities of what people were saying was endless. I didn't even understand why they were saying such things to me, no one knew about what was going on, did they? I looked around, everyone was staring at me as if I was naked. I glanced down and I for sure knew I was wearing clothes.
I turned to Kathleen, "what's going on?" I questioned.
"I don't know," She told me. "But if anyone says anything to your face, I'll kill them."
"Where's Alex?" I wondered.
"Right there with Valerie, Jacob, Jean and Marley!" Kathleen pointed to a group around Alex's locker. We made our way over.
"Hey baby!" I attempted to kiss Alex on the cheek but he turned away. "What's wrong?"
"You're a hypocrite, that's what's wrong!" Jacob snapped.
"Jacob!" Jean elbowed him in the stomach.
"Excuse me, Jacob. Do you know Jenna? No? No. Leave her alone!" Kathleen freaked at him.
"Why are you standing up for her? She cheated on Alex with David!" Jacob pushed Jean away and got up in my face. "You're just like Katrina. You're such a tramp."
"Back off ginger," Kathleen pushed him away and made a movement as if she was going to punch him.
"I did nothing of the type," I defended myself.
"We saw the photos, Jenna. Everyone in school did," Valerie informed me.
"What? What photos?" I looked at Alex who just looked away. "Why won't you look at me? Look at me!"
"What am I suppose to say, Jenna? You cheated on me with a total jerk I attempted to protect you from. You screwed this up, not me," Alex barked at me. He has never done anything like this to me.
"Alex, please!" I cried, tears began to drift down my face.
"Don't. I TRUSTED YOU," He screamed at me. "AND YOU BROKE THAT! NOT KATRINA, YOU!"
"Alex, stop!" Kathleen freaked once again.
"It's over Jenna, over!" Alex dumped me, in front of everyone. "Come on guys, let's leave this tramp and her friend to thrive on her mistake."
I grabbed onto his arm when he attempted to turn and walk away. "Alex, please let me explain!" I sobbed.
"Screw off forever Jenna!" He yelled for everyone to hear.
Everything fell apart then. He walked away, I thought maybe he stopped to apologize to me, but he turned to watch Jean run to me as I fell to the ground in tears. Jacob had the most disgusted look on his face, I couldn't control myself anymore. I was facing the ground and my body was out of control, Kathleen and Jean were attempting to get me up. I wouldn't budge, everything was ruined.
"I hate you Jenna Wells," Alex's words burned me.
