Jim took cautious steps forward, gun clasped between his hands and positioned in front of his face as he, as quiet as he could, approached the front door of the apartment. With an anticipating shiver, he tiptoed forward and pressed himself against the wall hastily, back flat against it as he slid his way towards the door, and placed his hand on the doorknob.

With a deep breath, and a count to three, he swung it open.

He was greeted with nothing but silence, and the only sound he registered was the bang of the door as it smacked against the inside wall.

Jim sighed, exhaling a slow breath through his lips in an attempt to dispel his growing anticipation, and, with his gun pointed forward in defence, he placed his right foot infront of his left, and slowly made his way inside.

He never thought to look to his left or his right as he entered, and as soon as he was fully inside the apartment, no chance to turn and run, the rubber nozzle of a gun pressed against his temple, and he froze.

"Evening, sweetheart" Came a drawl from his left, and he could just imagine the lazy lop-sided grin on the snipers face as he pushed the nozzle further into his temple.

"...Evening, Tiger, and how are you today?" Jim stood stock still, frozen but seemingly at ease from the words he spouted

"Absolutely marvellous since you asked...you?"

"Oh, you know, same old, same old..."

There was a pause in their small talk, both men standing motionless before Jim snapped into action, ducking from the press of the gun against his head, and twisting to fire at Sebastian as he rolled behind the sofa. Sebastian dived for the kitchen counter, shielding himself at the few bullets cascading his way, and he pressed his back against the cold marble.

He shouted out to Jim across the room.

"I'm a sniper! You really think you can beat me in a Nerf War?" Sebastian turned to kneel now, arms spread out on the kitchen counter and clasping his nerf gun as he peered over the surface

"I've beaten you the last few times! Don't think I won't again!" He jumped up, firing at Sebastian from across the room, wasting his 'bullets'

"That's because you cheated, idiot!" He ducked, dodging the peltings as he fired back.

"How did I cheat?!" Jim mirrored him, and ducked before they could hit him.

"You can't tackle me in the middle of firing then claim I didn't hit you!" He once again resumed his position over the counter, readying himself for the time when Jim would pounce up

"You didn't!" He pounced up, and Seb fired, at the ready. Jim immediately ducked back down, unable to get a shot in with Sebastians quick reflexes and impeccable aim, and he silently moved from behind the sofa, crouching to move to behind the one next to it, moving slowly with his gun still at the ready. He twisted, and shot up, to shoot in Sebastians direction, before noticing that he had also moved his position. Shit.

He had let his own space known, and he had no inkling of where Seb was, putting him at a fair disadvantage. He flopped back down with a huff, before peering round the side to try and spot him, eyes darting across the room. He couldn't, until he spotted the flash of Sebs foot in the corner of his eye. He grinned, pivoting himself to face the direction of it, and he dived forward to shoot at it. It wasn't Sebastian. But now he had wasted at least 5 of his bullets just for that false alarm, and he was left with 3 remaining. He cursed.

In the midst of his frenzied dive, Sebastian had moved to Jims old hiding spot, crouching there as he watched with a smug grin, and he took this oppurtunity to fire in his direction, giving his position. It wouldn't give him an advantage, but it would certainly make it more fun.

Jim had jumped when the rubber bullet flew past him, smacking against the wall with a thump and falling to the floor. Jim grinned, and jerked to shoot at Seb, who was now grinning while positioned over the sofa, firing back while Jim shot his remaining bullets. He retreated back behind the opposing sofa, and huffed. He was certainly screwed now, he had no bullets left.

'No matter what, don't reveal your position' was the mantra that repeated in his head as he maneouvred from his spot, changing position in quick, stealthy flashes nearer to Sebastian. He crouched, in a sprinters position behind the second sofa before propelling himself forward, rolling behind the lone armchair.

Sebastian was behind the counter right next to him, concealed from view, and they couldn't see eachother. All he had to do now was charge.

After a few moments, calculating when would be the best time to move, he jumped up, charging forward towards Sebastians hiding place.

Sebastian was glancing over the counter, away from him amd attempting to look for his position before he spotted a flash to his left. He only glanced absent mindedly at it before taking a double take, and his eyes widened before he was tackled to the ground with a grunt.

Jim had practically thrown himself at Sebastian after having charged forward, giving him no time to retaliate before landing in a heap to the floor, his arms wrapped around Sebastian as the pair flailed to the ground.

Jim gave a cheeky grin down at Sebastian as the latter looked up to him with a disgruntled expression, and Jim was sprawled on top of him, legs tangled in Sebastians in the mess of the 'battlefield' as Jim had so christened it years ago, supporting himself with his forearms as he lay on him.

"I won!" Came the typical Irish lilt, smug with the knowledge he had beaten Sebastian once again, and fake anger flashed across Sebastians expression, exclaiming

"You cheated!"

"I did not cheat, I merely did not follow the rules correctly" The prick stated, matter-of-factly

"That is cheating"

"I still won"

Sebastian huffed, rolling his eyes. He knew he wouldn't get his own way. Jim had 'won' and that was that. The Irishman merely chuckled with a wink.

"You know you love me"

Seb's head was thrown back in exasparation at that arrogant statement, and he groaned.

"The sad thing is I do..."

Jim smirked, triumphant, leaning down to press a kiss to Seb's cheek before shifting to move off him, and he sang.

"6-0 to me!"

.o.O.o.
