It was Valentines Day, and both Seb and Jim had agreed it was a tedious holiday, designed as an excuse for couples to be affectionate with one another, though they should be anyway.

Only a week ago had they discussed it, over breakfast, and neither had mentioned it since. They had agreed to not to buy each other anything, no gifts, no cards, no surprises. However, Sebastian had broken those rules, and had his gift for Jim mewling in the corner with a bow on its head, content in its box. A small black kitten, coinciding with Sebastians nickname for Jim. It was all Seb wanted to give him.

It was an hour later when Jim walked through the front door, Sebastian still laying on the couch, and he heard him hang his coat up and take his shoes off before making his way to the living room, where Sebastian was lounging.
He craned his neck as he felt Jims presence at the door

"Hey, Jim, I got you a little prese-"

His words caught in his throat as his eyes landed on Jim, leaning against the door frame

"Where the fuck did you get that?!"

In his arms sat a small tiger cub, gazing curiously around the room and yawning, displaying it's sharp teeth. Jim walked forward, towards Sebastian, and he plopped the tiger on his lap as he walked through to the kitchen, calling out as he strolled past.

"I got you a present"

After Sebastian got over his initial shock, he hesitantly placed a hand on the tiger cubs head, scratching behind it's ear as he became sure it wouldn't attack him. He looked through the door to the kitchen with a raised brow.

"Yes, but a fucking tiger, Jim?!"

Jim walked back through, a cup of tea now in his hands as he shrugged

"What? It suits you"

Sebastian only rolled his eyes at Jims response. Only he would have the exact same gift idea as Sebastian. He waved a hand towards the corner of the room to the box.

"Yes, well, I got you something too"

Jim frowned at him as he stirred his tea, cocking his head in confusion before turning his gaze to the box. He strolled over to it, setting his mug down on the coffee table. Jim paused as he looked down at it, and after a few moments, he bent down, picking up the small creature and holding it out at arms length. He rose a brow at Sebastian

"Really, Sebby? A kitten?"

Sebastian rose a brow back, an unimpressed look crossing his features

"Really, Jim? A Tiger?"

Jim huffed, and strode back over to the sofa, plopping himself down on it, still holding the kitten. He looked down at it curiously before scratching behind it's ears, and he narrowed his eyes in suspicion as it mewled and pressed it's head upwards, against Jim's hand. He glanced at the tiger in Seb's lap next to him, eyeing it

"You better hope the tiger doesn't eat the cat"

Seb didn't respond, and the tiger just noticed the presence of the other creature, moving forward curiously and sniffing at the small, black bundle of fur before nuzzling it, purring, and the kitten rolled over onto its back, attempting to bat it away with tiny paws.

Sebastian grinned, looking up at Jim after he observed the interaction, chuckling

"I think they'll be fine, though the kitten seems to have a bit of a temper"

After a few moments, he stretched his arm over the back of the sofa, over Jim as Jim leaned into him, resting his head on his shoulder

"A bit like you, I suppose"
