Three Hugs, A Second Kiss, And One 'I Love You'

Moriarty huffed as he wrenched the car door open with a particularly violent force, slipping into the leather passenger seat and impatiently waiting for Sebastian to do the same. They'd just come from the pool. An encounter with Sherlock that Moriarty didn't care to admit had endangered his life - and Sebastian was more than livid.

They remained in a suffocating silence as Seb started the drive back to their shared flat on the outskirts of London, the consistent purr of the engine the only thing keeping them both sane - calm on the surface. Moriarty's arms were defiantly crossed over his chest, purposely facing in Seb's opposite direction with a scowl etched on his face. He was adamant on ignoring Sebastian, and Jim dealt with his partner in crimes anger with the silent treatment, only illustrating his maturity and preference to getting his own way. Seb was being stupid, he thought, Jim could handle himself! He wasn't in any real danger back there, he knew Sherlock wasn't going to pull that trigger, he just knew. However, Seb didn't seem to trust his judgement, and had argued with him all the way to the car, close to screaming that Jim could have died.

A million thoughts ran through Jim's head as they ignored eachother, screaming at him to just say something, anything that could get Seb to see it from Jims perspective, however the volume of Jims thoughts never reached Sebastian, causing a temporary rift between the two men.

Sebastian was the first to break the silence

"Ji - Boss, you know I worry about you. I'm sorry for yelling"

Seb's soft side was showing, and he stole a quick glance at Jim before before returning to face the road, taking note of his stiff posture and prominent scowl. He carried on

"The only reason I got so worried was because you're ny boss, and I have no idea what I would do without you. Okay?"

Jim almost snorted aloud at this. God, he really was feeling sentimental at the moment, wasn't he?!

He remained Silent, and Sebastian groaned

"God, you can be such a child sometimes, you know that?! Especially when you don't get your own way! I care about you, your wellbeing, why can't you understand that people have feelings?!"

Mixed up in all of his anger at Jim, Sebastians hand flew out and whacked his arm, causing Moriarty to jump at the sudden contact. Sebastians screams left an unfulfilled silence ringing in the small space of the car, the low purr of the engine the only sound save for Sebastians heavy, angered breaths, humming in the background.

Jim was facing Seb now, arms unfolded and staring, speechless at Seb, fire raging in his eyes and panting from his rampage. Jim was shell shocked. This was the first time he'd heard such a thing from anyone, let alone his right hand. He was quiet, not from spite, this time, but because he was lost for words, he had not the faintest clue what to say. He hadn't cared for such things before, however seeing Seb react this way caused Jim to soften slightly.

Sebastian sighed. They were in their driveway now, had been for a good five minutes at least, (not that Jim had noticed) and Sebastian settled his hand on the door handle, and exited the car, jogging round to the other side to open Jim's door for him; he may be pissed but he still had a job to do. As he opened the door, Sebastian looked down to discover that Moriarty has resumed his earlier position, arms crossed with his eyebrows furrowed into a scowl. He was glaring up at Seb, challenging him to try and get him out of the car. As he took note of Seb's unwavering expression, raising an eyebrow at Jim, he huffed, seeing he was getting nowhere with this. With a quick manoeuvre he got out of the car and strode towards the house, crossing his arms and tapping his foot impatiently, waiting for Seb to come and open the door for him. He was doing this to spite Seb, annoy him, but Sebastian had no choice but to comply to his wishes. He opened the door, and gestured for Jim to go first
