----------Chapter 7 ~ Bombshell
Jacob P.O.V
The warm morning light rests on her soft skin. Eyelids closed against the dim light of dawn and her breathing deep and relaxed, all the muscles in her face and body were totally at peace. Not a twitch, not a spasm, barely any movement of her breasts rising and falling with each intake of air.
A strand of her hair fell over half her face softly. She looked so innocent in her sleep, almost like a child. And I had to wonder if she wasn't all bad.
I rub my sleepy eyes and slide my phone off my bedside table into my hand. 8.58am reads across the top of the screen and I sigh. I sit up and swing my legs off the side of my bed, resting my elbows on my knees and running my fingers through my hair.
"Are you ok?" Her sleepy voice asks behind me.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I stay facing the window of my bedroom.
"Do you have a class this morning?"
"Yeah," I say, "At ten."
"I don't have any classes today, it's ok if I stay here isn't it?"
"You mean in my bed or in the apartment?" I smile as I finally turn to face her.
"A bit of both." She winks at me.
I grab some clothes from my wardrobe and trot across the hallway to the bathroom. I am in and out of the shower within ten minutes then head back to my room.
Riley is sprawled across the bed on her back, her body half hanging out of the sheets. I roll my eyes at the sight of her, still in shock that she is sleeping in my bed for the next week.
"You want me to make you breakfast?" I ask.
She props herself up on her elbows to look at me. "What's on the menu?"
"Well since we are out of food and I need to go grocery shopping, I'd say I can offer you cereal or toast."
"Toast it is then." She smiles before flopping back down to face the ceiling.
I pass Chase sitting on the couch watching tv on my way to the kitchen. He grins when he sees me, immediately switching into tease mode.
"How'd the first night sleeping with 'Bad Girl' go?" He adjusts himself on the couch and places his bowl of cereal on the coffee table.
"Just fine," I say, putting a few pieces of bread in the toaster.
"Well I didn't hear any moans or bed creaks so I assume you are keeping up your end of the bet?" Chase teases.
"Or we have mastered the art of silent sex." Riley chimes in, making me and Chase flinch in fright.
She strides towards us across the living room and takes a seat on a stool on the other side of the bench. Riley looks up at me and winks before turning to Chase.
"What are your plans for today?" She asks him, the smug expression on his face gone.
"I have a class this morning then I'm heading across town to my parents house for my dad's birthday. You two will have the apartment to yourselves tonight." He smiles at us both and wiggles his eyebrows.
