A/N: Aloha readers!

I just honestly can't find the time to write these days. And school has just started back again for term 4 which means early nights are kind of a priority which also means I'll get even less writing done.

Ugh! First world struggles.

So, anyway, please try and bare with me as I slowly update and try and keep this book interesting.

Oh and thank you for the support! I'm very grateful to have such kind followers :) <3

Chapter 8 ~ Butt-greece

Jacob P.O.V

I mindlessly flip from channel to channel, not finding anything on tv worth watching. There is a few sharp raps on the front door making me flinch.

Who is over here this early in the morning?

I abandon my half eaten bowl of cereal on the coffee table and unlatch the apartment door. I'm greeted by a guy about my height who looks slightly older than me. His upper body is solid, clearly more muscular than mine. His eyes are friendly, and his hair buzz cut.

"Can I help you?" I frown by being taken off guard.

"I'm looking for Riley. I was told she was temporarily living here?"

"Uh, yes," I reply, "But who are you?"

"Reece," he replies while extending a hand for me to shake.

For a moment I thought he was some boyfriend Riley didn't think to mention to me, but then I caught sight of that unmistakable hazel in his eyes. The same hazel that made up Riley's perfect eyes.

"Jacob," I shake his hand and step back to allow him into the apartment.

"Nice place," he says after looking around the room, "Is it yours?"

"Yeah, along with my roommate." I close the door and become suddenly aware I'm not wearing a shirt.

Reece turns and looks me up and down without trying to be subtle about it.

"Riley decided to settle down for you, aye?" He raises an eyebrow and smiles.

"Oh no, me and Riley certainly aren't-"

"Butt-greece!"

We both turn and see Riley beaming from the hallway entrance. I notice she has tried to make herself look presentable even though her hangover must be setting in.

"I thought I heard your annoying voice!" Riley grins and canters across the room to wrap her arms around Reece.

"Jacob," She says when they pull apart, "This is my older brother, Reece."

"I believe we became acquainted when I let him into the apartment." I nod.

By her un-phased manner, I assume she doesn't remember the bombshell she dropped on me last night.

Maybe that's a good thing anyway.

"What brings you to my current residential home, big bro?" Riley looks up at Reece.

"Uh," he looks at the floor, then at me, then back at Riley, "Can we talk, in private?"

The siblings exchange knowing looks, a hint of ache in Riley's eyes.

"I need to take a shower anyway," I excuse myself, and Riley thanks me with a grateful nod.

With the information I learnt last night and from the events this morning, it was the most difficult thing in the world to resist eavesdropping on Riley and her brother. I had my shower with busy thoughts of what was being discussed in the living room.
