A/N- Hey :)
How is everyone?
I've been feeling a little disconnected from Wattpad (especially on this account anyway) so I thought I should write a little note to you guys since its been a while.
I am still on school holidays and return to school in roughly a week (like the 1st of Feb or something) so I'll try and get a lot of writing done before I end up being swamped with school work.
I'm really scared cause this year I turn 16 which means I start driving and I have no clue what I'm doing and also I start new subjects which I've never done before and also I have to do work experience and I'm JUST A LITTLE KID I STILL LOVE DISNEY DONT MAKE ME DO THIS!!!! *sobs into pillow about growing up*
So anywayyyyy, hope your enjoying my book :)
(I'm scared I won't end up having as many chapters as I'd like)Bye xx
--------------Chapter 16 ~ Shadows
Jacob P.OV
I was relieved that the buzz of rumors about Riley and me had died down by Monday since she moved back into the dorms. But I was also sad, because I missed her so much that my heart ached.
People always assume it's only the girl who feels so much for the guy and misses him uncontrollably. But guys have feelings too, and I have a lot. Especially towards Riley.
"Hey, stranger."
A large hand pats my shoulder and I don't even move a muscle.
"Cafeteria food got you down, huh?" Chase adds as the line moves forward.
"I feel like absolute crap." I deadpan.
"America filled me in on what happened between you and Riley during our class this morning. Apparently you kissed her twin sister."
"I don't want to be reminded, thanks."
"I don't know why everyone is so angry about it anyway. All I'm hearing in my head is 'hot as fuck threesome'."
"You disgust me, Chase." I scoff and lead the way towards an empty table.
"I'm serious! Twin on twin is hot!"
"I am about to kick you so hard in the balls that they come out your throat if you don't shut up right now." I aggressively chew my food.
"No need to take out your anger on the food. What did that meat ever do to you?"
"Chase. Balls. Throat." I threaten again.
"Okay, okay!" He backs down.
I relax in the silence and try to bring my temper under control. The cafeteria isn't very full today, which is also a bonus.
"Uhh, dude?" Chase nudges my leg under the table.
"What did I just say to you?!" I snap and look up at him.
"No, look." He says calmly.
I follow his gaze across the room until my eyes fall on Riley. She is sitting on top of one of the tables, a younger guy standing in front of her and leaning in.
What the hell?
Riley backs her head away in disgust and pushes the guy away with her hands.
"These guys don't waste time, do they?"
"Guess she doesn't either." I frown.
"Hey, come on man. She just pushed him away."
I look down at my food and sigh.
"You have to start moving on, Jacob. Everyone is heading over to Shadows tonight, we should go."
"I'm not really in a clubbing mood."
"Please, Jake. It will help you feel better."
"Fine, whatever then. I'm only saying yes to shut you up."
"Excellent." Chase grins.

Shadows is one of the most popular clubs in town. Every so often almost the whole campus migrates there without any sort of organization. It's like we are all telepathic.
I am wearing a plain black t-shirt and a pair of new jeans. I didn't want to seem like I was trying to hard.
Me and Chase head immediately for the bar and I can't toss back the alcohol fast enough. I catch Riley out the corner of my eye, who is also drinking hastily.
She doesn't see me. And I'm glad.
I want to try and move on tonight and forget about her. She was bad news from the start and I should have known I'd get hurt.
"Hey guys." A sweet voice says and we turn to see Paisley.
"Hey." I smile at her.
"Oh, hey." Chase adds awkwardly.
I guess they haven't spoken in a while.
"Can I get you a drink?" Chase offers her and she nods in reply.
They begin chatting so I turn my attention to the rest of the room. I find America on the dance floor with who I imagine to be her boyfriend, Trent.
So where is Riley?
I finish off my third drink for the night and continue to look around the room for Riley.
"Hey Chase?" I interrupt him mid sentence.
"Yeah?" He calls back over the music.
"Can you see Riley anywhere?"
"Mate, I told you to forget about her!"
"There she is!" Paisley answers me and points a finger in the right direction.
Oh fuck no.
Riley is lounged on a seat in a booth with a drink in her hand. But that's not what I can't believe. A guy is leaning on her, whispering things in her ear as she laughs.
I take deep breaths, trying to suppress my anger. Until his hand rests on her upper leg and I jump out of my seat. I shoulder through the heavy crowd and step on people's feet as I charge towards them.
Riley sees me coming and gently pushes the guy away from her ear.
I grab the back of the guys shirt in my fist and propel him off of the seat and onto the floor.
"What the fuck are you doing?!" I shout at Riley, my ears hot and ringing.
Before she can spit out an answer, I am shoved to the floor. The guy has picked himself up and starts to swing punches from above me. So I swing back and hit his jaw as a crowd starts to gather.
"Jake stop it!" Riley yells and tries helplessly to intervene.
But within a few moments, security has us both thrown out the door and onto the cold street.
The guy I was just fighting scrambles to his feet before I can and stumbles down the street, and then out of my sight. I ease myself up onto my feet and lean against a nearby building for stability.
Chase and Paisley come rushing out of the club, closely followed by Riley.
"Shit." I say to myself as they approach.
"Jake, what the hell are you doing?" Chase asks while frowning, trying to examine any injuries I might have.
"I'm fine. Go back inside and enjoy your night." I dismiss him with a wave of my hand.
"If your not hurt already I'm going to make sure you are!" Riley steps forward and yells at me.
"Dude-" Chase begins but I stop him.
"Go back inside, Chase. I'll be fine." I confirm.
"The hell you will." Riley mutters to me as the others leave.
Here we go again.
