I woke up the next morning with dry hair and a headache that pounded in my head. I was in a room that scenery I wasn't familiar with. I looked over to see the door with a laminated sheet of rules, i must be in the hotel. I was laid in a double bed with fluorescent white sheets. I was tucked in and the rest of the sheets were lying untouched and flat on the other side of the bed. Memories of last night haunted me, leaving many questions circling around in my head. Parts of it was clear and parts wern't. I remember jumping into the pool, I cringed at the thought I did that. I move the covers off my body to realize i'm still in last nights clothes. They were creased and my shirt was ruched up and revealed my stomach, I hated the feeling waking up to that. I pulled my shirt down and taking small movements sat up and got out of bed. I felt like death and riding the train back is not going to help. My head felt heavy knowing it didn't have a cushion there to help it relax.

I looked around the room and on the floor next to me was the clutch I brought to the party. I picked it up nervously to check everything was still in place. Luckily everything was there, money, phone, keys! I sighed with relief. I sat back down on the bed and pulled out my phone, I had 3 missed calls and 5 text messages. I panicked, but they were all from this morning at 8o'clock. The time now was 11:57, wow I had slept in. All the text messages were from Jaime.

"Where R U?"

"Where did you go?"

"Meet up with me later?"

"I think we need to talk!"

"???"

WHAT THE FUCK DID I DO LAST NIGHT? My breathing became short and irregular, my hands began to sweat and I was worried on last nights events. I paced up and down the room a few times think of what to reply and trying to recall last night. I was nervous, but I couldn't wait any longer I needed to text him.

"I'm so sorry Jaime, I'm at a Hotel near you, meet me at Starbucks in town okay? I think we need to talk"

Why did I add, 'i think we need to talk'. What did I need to speak to him about, I was nervous and twitchy. Oh shit, i''ll be meeting him soon. I grabbed my clutch and ran to the bathroom. I shuffled around my bag and found a hair tie, two paracetamols and lipstick. I desperately needed all of these. There was a plastic cup on the side of the sink, I grabbed it an filled it up with tap water, I chucked the tablets in my mouth and swallowed. Then my phone went off.

"Sure, 10 minutes. C U there!"

I rolled my eyes at the fact time wasn't in my favour. I walked back and chucked my head between my knees, this only made my head throb even more. I gathered every strand of hair and positioned them on top of my hair and secured with a hair tie. The heaviness of my hair didn't help with my headache but it made me look more presentable. I strode over to the mirror, touching up my face, I hadn't taken my makeup off and I had random slips of mascara around my eyes. I tried to make me look a remotely bit presentable. I chucked the lipstick top off and drew my lips on with the sharp fuchsia colour. Rubbing my lips together, I tied up and threw everything back into my bag and headed for the door.

I'm glad I booked online, I thought. What a faff it would of been to pay when on a rush. I power walked out of the door and decided i'd take the stairs instead of the lift to save time. Holding my clutch near me, I walked out of the lobby. I had no recalls of getting here last night. I hoped that walking back here might help but it didn't. Luckily, the town wasn't far and the hotel was near a main road, leading to town.

"Do you need a cab miss?" I man dressed up in a white shirt and back waist coat acquainted me.

"Yes, urgently!" I replied. My tone was desperate and I hoped I didn't come across too needy. He waved his hand up and a taxi who had been waiting by the side drove to the front part of the hotel. I thanked him and shuffled down the stairs and got into the taxi.  "Starbucks, please" I said yanking my seat belt and attempting to use this contraption.

Within a matter of minutes I was there. Before leaving the taxi, I straiten out my clothes, making them look like I hadn't slept in the the night before. I felt dirty, It feels like i'm going out into public with my PJ's on. Wasn't a good feeling. I reached out a ten dollar bill and gave it to him, leaving him to keep the change as I opened the door and got out of the taxi. The town was quite busy, but Starbucks looked like there was a few empty tables, by looking through the opaque window. Pushing the door and walking in, I skimmed the room for Jaime to arrive. I could see him in the right hand corner as if he was hiding almost.

Walking over slowly, I double checked if it was him, but then seeing the sleeve of tattoo's I knew it was him.

"Jaime" I say standing at the table. He turns and faces me and smiles. I felt relief to see him smile. He stood up and pulled me in for a hug, It was brief and emotionless and a simple hey would of had more emotion.

"Hey!" He finally says. There is was, much more emotion in his tone, he seemed okay. I wondered what he wanted to talk about. I pulled out the chair opposite him and sat down putting my arms and clutch down on the table. "I wanted to talk to you..."

"Yeah, I know," I interrupted. I took a breathe, not even sure of what I was going to say to him, when I interrupted.  "About last night... I can't remember much... Other than me half way drowning in a pool" I giggled to break the awkwardness I created.

"Yeah last night... You told me something... I'm not sure if.." He trailed off

"Yeah go on!" I commanded, intrigued to know my stupid words said.
