One Hundred Sleepless Nights [A Jaime Preciado and Pierce The Veil FanFic]

The Argument

The restaurant was beautifully groomed. Everything was neat and tidy and I felt like royalty going into such a posh place. I strutted along with Jaime, hand in hand, fingers seductively slipped into each others. This was a proper date. Vic and Rachel walked in front of us doing the same. Before the doors was opened to the restaurant area, we were greeted by a slick man in a very flattering tux. His articulate voice asked.

"Have you made a reservation Sir?" He asked Vic, then scattered his eyes pleasingly over to Jaime. 

"Yes, table for 4 under 'Fuentes'" Vic paced his feet.

The slick man then opened the doors and lead us to a table. I felt like I was in a bond movie or something. Everything was so neat. Roses accompanied the tables, there were many choices of knives and forks. Good thing I have watched Titanic, I said to myself, or I wouldn't know what to do with  these knives and forks. I sat down next to Rachel and opposite Jaime. 

The meal was lovely and now we had time for talking. I could that Rachel was a bit of a light weight and all this expensive wine made her a little tipsy. 

"You know what Ame-lia" She struggled to pronounce my name. "Never go out with Jaime... He will break your little heart. You see Vic here?" She violently pointed her finger. "He tours all the time and never see's me. I could have anyone and I chose him... I could be cheating on him and he wouldn't know. I hate the waiting and when he comes back 'he wants to take it slow'" She mocks, we are all stunned at her drunken self. Vic's face was emotionless.

"So, you don't want to be with me and you're most probably cheating on me?" Vic's anger flushes in a whispered tone. He leans forward and Jaime tries to take his shoulder back, to calm him. 

"Oh please, who know's what you get up to on tour... Many 13 year old's crush you anyway and so many girls throw themselves at you. Go with them" She slurred as she picks up her glass and tries to drink more. 

"Maybe you have had enough!" I say in a friendly voice, taking the glass out of her hand.

"Get off and get fucked Amelia!" Her grip was strong. 

"We are over" Vic says standing up and throwing some money on the table. I look down and I'm afraid. Jaime stands up and throws some money on the table as well. I look up to see him rubbing his neck out of the unacknowledged of what to do. 

"Come Amelia" He grabs my hand and whisks me away. I feel sad all of a sudden and also scared to leave her. "It's a nice place, they will call her a cab... Don't worry about her" He reassures me as we walk away. We pain a smile on as the butler opends the door for us. As we reach the front of the hotel we stop walking and turn to each other. 

"Well tonight was fun" I roll my eyes out of sarcasm. He gently laughs and walks in closer. 

"You see I had tonight all planned out. But I guess it hasn't gone to plan" 

"What was your plan?"

"Well, I'd pick you up, check, then i'd take you out for a lovely meal, check, then i'd get you here and kiss you... But i guess tonight's disaster hasn't put us in the mood--" 

Before he could finish, I kissed him, my hands on his face and neck like in the films. I feel him kiss me back and his hands slip around my waist making the moment last. I can't believe my luck these past days with him. We slowly let loose of each others lips. 

"Thank you, for tonight the meal was lovely" I said

"No problem, it was worth it." 

"I kind of, best be going though. It's a long ride from here to LA and i'm not looking forward to it." 

"You could always come back to mine, if it's a fuss?" 

"No, no, i'd rather get back, my new place and all." We let go of each other, having a few seconds of remaining eye contact, It felt so right. I didn't want to leave but I have a life to live and chores to do at home. I walked away, knowing his eyes were on me. Just as I reached the door.

"Ame, I like you" He said shyly and then I left without an other word.
