"So, how'd it go?" Reyna asked as soon as she saw Octavian.
"Uh... Good?" He said, not sure what else do say.
"What happened?" Reyna asked.
"Well, she doesn't seem mad at me anymore." He said.
"That's good!'
" Uh, yeah. So what did you guys talk about? "He asked, anxious to change the subject.
" You. " she replied.
"What?" He asked, suddenly freaking out.
Reyna grinned. "I'm kidding! We just talked about the between camp trips we are starting next summer."
"Oh." Octavian said, relaxing.
"Where are you staying? I'm guessing you don't want to start with the Apollo campers, so you have to find somewhere to stay. See you at dinner." Reyna said, walking away. Who will I stay with? He asked himself. I could ask the girl if she would let me stay with her... No! I can't do that! What if she still hates me! He thought. He tried to think of some where else he could stay, but nothing came to mind. He decided to ask the girl, Rachel, if he could stay in her cave.
"Rachel?" He called. He heard shuffling inside, and then he saw her. Her hair was all over the place, like she hasn't brushed it lately, but she still looked beautiful. Wait, what?
"Hello?" he heard her ask, snapping him back to reality.
"What?" He asked, not hearing what she said.
"Why were you staring at me?"
He felt his face get hot. "Uh..."
"Never mind. Why are you here?"
"Uh... Well, I kind of need somewhere to stay..."
"And you want to stay here?" She asked, finishing his sentence.
He nodded. "I really don't want to stay in the Apollo cabin."
"Fine." She said. Octavian was really excited and started thanking her.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" He said.
"What's gotten into you?" She asked.
His face felt hot again. "Sorry." He said, looking down at his feet. He heard Rachel giggle, and he looked up at her, confused. He saw her blush and look down, just like he did. He smiled.
"What's so funny?" He asked, wanting to hear her explanation.
"Um... Y-you?" She replied nervously. She was bright red, and it was funny. He giggled nervously.
Rachel looked at him, smirking slightly. Uh-oh. He thought.
"What's so funny?" She asked, trying to mimic him, and failing horribly. He laughed
"What?" She demanded.
"I don't sound like that!" He replied, laughing.
"Yes you do!" She said, starting to laugh with him.
Suddenly, the dinner bell rang.
"Time for dinner!" Rachel shouted, running to the dining pavilion.
