"Who saved me?" Octavian asked. Rachel didn't answer. Octavian glanced at her. She was looking down with a slight blush on her cheeks. Octavian smiled. She is so adorable. "Rachel?" He asked. Rachel looked up at him and blushed deeper.
"Percy." She said. What? "Percy saved you."
"Why?" He asked.
"I don't know, but I'm happy he did. I don't know what I would've done if you died." She said. Octavian blushed, causing Rachel to smirk. "You're blushing again." Octavian looked away.
"No I'm not." He muttered. Rachel got on her hands and knees and crawled around him so she was facing him.
"Yes you are." Octavian blushed deeper and looked at the ground.
"Shut up." He muttered. He peeked at her without lifting his head. He had an idea.
"Rachel." he whispered. She looked at him, but he kept his head down so it looked like he was still looking at the ground. He pretended to fall over and ended up with a face full of sand. He sat up and spit the sand out of his mouth while Rachel laughed at him.
"What was that?" She asked. He looked at her, his face still full of sand.
"That was me falling face first into the sand." He told her. She laughed. While she was distracted, Octavian covered his hand with sand and pushed her into the sand. She fell and ended up having sand all over her face.
"What was that for?" She asked.
"What was what for?" He asked innocently.
"You just pushed me into the sand!" She said.
"Oh, that? That was me pushing you into the sand." She glared at him.
"You're insufferable." She said. Then she whispered, "And hot."
"What was that?" He asked her. She blushed.
"I said that you were insufferable." She muttered.
"No, after that." He said. She blushed deeper.
"Nothing." She muttered.
"It sure doesn't seem like nothing." He said.
"Isaidthatyouwerehot."She said in a rush. She yawned. Octavian smirked.
"Are you tired?" He asked her.
"Maybe." She replied.
"Let's get you to bed." He said. Rachel didn't protest. She got up and they walked back to the cave together and immediately fell asleep.
