Octavian wasn't sure what to think about this girl. She had followed him everywhere for the past week. He had tried to force her away, but it didn't change her behavior. No matter where he was, she was always there. If Reyna said she couldn't come with them, she would wait for him to be done.
Strangely, he didn't hate her company. The girl kept him on his toes. He definitely wasn't bored when she was around. He tried so stay mad at her, but it got harder and harder every day. He found himself smiling when they were talking, laughing at her stupid jokes, trying to make her laugh in return.
She had a cute laugh. It always seemed to brighten his mood. He wasn't sure what was going on with him, and he didn't know if he liked it or not.
"Hey Octavian!" He heard her yell. He had just gotten up and walked outside, and she was already there. He felt himself smile.
"Hey, Rachel."
She smiled at him. "What are you doing today?"
"Not much. I have a pretty free day for once." He saw her grin, a weird look in her eye.
Uh oh.
He sighed. "What do you have planned?"
"It's a surprise!" She grabbed his hand and started running off.
He laughed, being dragged behind her.
