It has been six years since Herobrine was reappointed to general.

Hero raised his head from the map of Minecraftia to look at his newly appointed lieutenant. "Steve, report?"
The young man saluted and reported, "More and more people are creeping into the West, sir."
Hero ran a hand through his hair which was soaked in sweat. He worked hard all day. The reports had grown to the point where he was notified. Usually, cases would be kept within the police department. If they came to Hero, who was in the military department, it was probably something they almost had given up on. The West was closed off for a reason.
"Alright, Steve, get to sleep. It's past curfew, I'm sure you don't have any shifts tomorrow. Good night, buddy."
Steve nodded and shot him a smile," Have a good night too, sir."
Hero teleported to his room and sank to his desk. He was too stressed to even move, so he decided to take a small break, resting on his desk.

Hero certainly did not sleep that night. He was busy looking at a few new paperwork from the Aether and worrying over the forbidden West. Minecraftia did not get that much tourists. Only those who were brave enough would fly over to Minecraftia for a little visit. Then, they would flee back to their country, screaming about spiders bigger than toddlers and wolves who were the size of bears.
The forbidden West was filled with much more scarier creatures. When Herobrine was a young general, he made a mistake to stumble upon the Western side of the country, only to be running out, his pale blue eyes widened in horror. He never wanted to recall those monsters.
Besides, one used to live inside him.
But that was not the case.
Erin gave a loud distressed wail, paws scratching at the door. Herobrine looked over to see the hallway lights switched on, a shadow looming over his door. Herobrine narrowed his eyes in confusion. His power was unable to sense the being, whether it was magical or not. He also did not even hear or smell the creature. The entire castle was heavily warded and charmed so guards would be notified if an unauthorized figure entered.
It was way past daytime shift curfew, and Herobrine made sure no one should enter his office unless absolutely necessary. Erin ran under the bed and peeked out, white paws tucked underneath himself. Herobrine took his katana from his belt and walked to the front of his desk. He had his blade ready to strike whenever the unknown entity made a move. Herobrine thought it was dangerous, whatever was out there.
Just then, the heavily charmed door crashed into splinters as a black figure with glowing green eyes gave a inhumane screech, which caused Herobrine's ears to ache and grew temporarily deaf. He heard nothing but a faint ringing. Herobrine only saw the creature's face for a second before he felt sharp claws raking from his forehead and down to his nose, raking both his eyes. He managed a few seconds of screaming at the unbearable pain before crashing down on the planks, taking deep breaths, panicking and shivering. He groaned in agony as crimson stained the floor, Erin giving a soft mewl of fear.
Everything disappeared, and Herobrine was just still in shock on the floor, his eyesight slowly growing very blurry. His trembling halted finally, and the black spots blinding him took over his eyesight.
He had a date due that night.
In the Aether, a red-eyed man just waited at the meeting place, worrying and juggling a velvet box in his fingers.
