My biggest pet peeve in school is when Teachers use made up words in math. For example, one of my least favorite words that they use is "timesed". EXCUSE YOu. It's multiplied! PLEASE! YOU ARE A MATH TEACHER.
I'm in an honors Algebra class, AKA "The Academy," MA2S(Macomb Academy of Arts and Sciences). So my HONORS ALGEBRA teacher is talking about subtraction, and she says "Oh, so you minused # and #?"
GUUUUUUUUUUUUURLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU EVEN KIDDING ME. YOU WORK AT THE ACADEMY. STOP. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SMART. USE THE RIGHT VOCABULARY. PLEASE.
That's always been a problem for me. They always made sure that we knew the right terminology, then they kinda got lazy and stopped caring. I hate that.
