Hearing the door knob turning my stomach begins to churn, my palms begin to produce sweat and does my forehead. Preparing myself to charge into Pete, I don't back down from my area. As the door was about to open I hear knocking coming from the other side of the door, the doorknob retracts and the footsteps lead away from the door. A few seconds later I hear the front door open and a couple mumbled are heard, I reach for the door knob and begin to slowly turn it. After I successfully turn the knob, I crack the door open and pop my head out.
Seeing that the halls were empty and barren, I continue to hear chatter from the front of the house. I come out from behind the door, I tip toe my way to the back of the house in order not to be caught. I look at the slider with that being the best option I have, once I reach a good spot I quietly charge from the door. I undo the lock and slide the door open, as I am doing so I hear a voice boom through the house.
"NO! Get back here!" I turn and see what id imagine what the devil looks like charging right at me, I turn my foot and dash out the door into the whipping winds and downpour of rain. As the weather conditions weren't in such great terms, I squint my eyes in hopes of being able to move myself off of the premises.
The only light coming from inside Petes house, which was dim as it reached outside, helped me guide myself to the side of the house. I run along the side of the house and in hopes of getting out of here, I run into the back of the car that was parked in the driveway. My foot being in pain as I hit on the tire, and my thigh with a shorting pain all through it, I manoeuvre my way around the car and into the street.
As I'm running to my car, I try to fish out my car keys but being scared out of my mind I run to Gabby's house. My feet getting absolutely soaked as I step through wide and semi deep puddles, I make it up to her front door and slam my fist on it several times. Not a moment later, the door swings open with Gabby in another set of comfy clothes. She motions me in and as I enter she left and went into the bathroom that was off in other room from the living room.
She then returns with a dry towel and leads me into the kitchen, I prop myself down at the dinning table with the towel wrapped around my drenched body. My body shaking from the cold rain and from what I just saw still running through my mind. My eyes start to fill with tears, soon the tears have spilt and I'm balling my eyes out.

Hello, okay so yeah they have been short chapters lately but it's because I've been having a hard time writing, for example I'm writing this at 2am on New Year's Day.
I feel bad for not updating during the holidays, so here's something for the mean time. I hope you had a good holiday with friends and family and I hope the new year brings all good things your way.
I hope you enjoy this chapter, if you are reading this story I'd like to thank you. This book is horrible (like me) and I don't know how someone can read this but anyways- thank you.
