I pull into the building's parking lot while sitting in damp clothes, my eyes have toned down from being bloodshot. I pull into a parking spot and put my car in park. I turn the car off and reach behind me to grab my bag, then I throw my keys into the bag not caring if it was in a pocket or not. the weather here was calmer and not so windy, the rain was light.
We hop out of the car and speed walk to the front door. Once we enter we head straight to my cubicle and throw my bag down. While I am walking through the office I see people in the corner of my eyes staring at me and whisper to the co-workers. Ignoring them I continue to walk to my boss' office, with gabby following me I walk into his office. He jumps a bit and his eyes go wide, his face goes from shocked to angry.
"Deanna, where have you been?" He asks with a stern voice.
"Where have I been you ask? well I have been through hell and back, sir. While working on that case you assigned me, I got drugged, captured, and tied down." the images pop into my head and I cringe. "and I have witnessed the most disturbing thing anyone could have witnessed."
"And what could that disturbing thing be, Deanna?" He asks with a tone and leans back while crossing his arms. At this point I'm feed up with his attitude and it's been less then 30 seconds.
"I saw three people on their knees naked with their faces sewed to each other's asses." His face drops but then he gets that smug expression on his face.
"Oh really? if you really saw this, a good reporter would take a photo of it. So where is the photo?" He requests
"Sir, you can't be serious? I saw this after waking up from being drugged. If you were in my shoes you would understand." I turn on my heel and start to head out the door.
"Who is this?" I stop in my tracks.
"This is Gabby, she is the neighbor of Pete. Pete is the man who has been the main cause of the disturbances that have been reported."
"Well, I'd like to talk to Gabby so could you please go back to your desk and file everything you captured or took notes on." I nodded and left without another word.
I close the door and walk to my desk. I reach to my bag and take out my note pad, skimming through it the images pop back into my head and the fear sets back in. Instead of filling in everything on report, I decide to finally get this guys. I pick up my desk phone and dial the number.
