Chpt 9

I sat up. I was in my room on my bed. There was a note beside me. I picked up the note and smiled.

'We are home -Danny' I held the note to my chest. I stood and put it in a drawer. I sighed and walked to the kitchen.

Only Beth was there.

"Where's everybody?" I asked.

"Done. You slept in today." Beth informed.

"Dammit! I hate sleeping in!" I screamed.

"Wow. Never heard anybody say they hated sleeping in!"

"Sorry... It's just... I guess I feel so... Useless!"

"Hey Nat you aren't useless!" Beth assured and walked up to me, "especially you aren't useless to Danny." Beth whispered in my ear. I shoved her away suddenly embraced.

"Shut up!" I shouted.

"It's ok. We all know." Beth laughed.

"What! Know what!" I demanded.

"Wow. I see why you are a wolf. So protective and strong." Beth laughed.

"Beth! Tell me!" I ordered.

"We saw you and Danny out on the dock. We watched you a little. Then went to the security camera room-"

"THERE'S A SECURITY CAMERA!"

"Yes, now let me continue... We watched Danny carry you into your room. It was ADORABLE!!!" Beth squealed. I crossed my arms.

"Beth! I thought we weren't gonna tell them!" A Chris' voice hissed.

"Oh Chris! Such a party pooper!" Beth teased.

"I'm gonna have toast." I yawned. I took out some bread. Danny walked in. Chris and Beth walked out whistling. Danny raised an eyebrow at them and turned to me.

"Hey Nat. Sleep ok?" Danny asked.

"Good thanks." I replied keeping my eyes down. Danny sat on the counter next to me.

"Are you ok?" Danny asked.

"Fine." I answered. I waited for the toast to pop out.

"Are you awkward... About the kiss? 'Cause it's ok if you aren't ready..." Danny began. I looked up at Danny fast.

"No! It's just-" I waved my hands. Danny kissed me gently. I felt like I was in heaven. Danny pulled away. "The team."

"It's ok. We can keep it secret for awhile." Danny assured.

"No... The team knows..." I sighed embraced.

"What! How?" Danny asked.

"Security cameras." I pointed out.

"Oh... I forgot..." Danny rubbed his head. "Well, I guess they won't care. Just try not to make a big deal out of it."

"Ok... I still wanna... You know..." I smiled.

"Yeah don't worry! Everything will work out fine!" Danny assured.
