I'm Grounded For Life(Once again sort of)

I was soon plopped on the ground in front of the library. Next to me was Thomas, Radar, and Mercury. We were all in a tangled up pile of kids. I looked around at Mordale. Everything was repaired. It looked as if nothing happened to the town. And the morning sun bathed a soft red glow on the four of us.

I turned back to my three friends. I grinned, and they soon grinned too. "That was..." Radar pursed his lips. "Certainly interesting."

No other words were needed. I was glad my friends didn't ask what happened. They must've assumed I just did the spell.

Before we walked inside, I held the book to my chest, and then, I laid a daisy down on Heather's grave. I smiled, and followed my friends inside.

My mom cried in happiness as she hugged me, petting my hair. I hugged back, happy to finally just be a kid. My dad and Thomas soon hugged me too, and our whole family just sat there, being with each other. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Radar running to his mom, and Mercury being lifted in the air by her dad. I closed my eyes, content.

And then the ugly came. I'll spare you the gory details.

Let's just say, Thomas and I were grounded until we were eighteen, and we got a good tongue lashing. But after a bit, our punishment went down to three months. Sure, a bit of a long time, but I was happy. I saved Mordale. Not just me, but me and my friends. All of us were safe. And we were proud of our deeds. I mean, we were heroes.

Sort of.

Epilogue

So, that's my story. All the gritty details. You're probably wondering where the four of us are now.

To no one's surprise, Radar and Mercury were married. They started dating in high school, and finally tied the knot. They're adorable, and it doesn't even make our friendships weird. They have four children. I'm the proud God mother of Carol. I was so honored when they named her after me. Such a sweet thing. And Thomas was the god father of their triplet sons.

Thomas got a wife named Jennifer, and he's been traveling the world. He often sends me postcards of his frequent trips. I'm also the proud God mother of his single son, Ferris. Even though they travel, they come to every family gathering, and our frequent friend get togethers.

And finally me.

I found my voice in writing. I decided to document my adventures, and your reading them now, dear reader. I became a very experienced writer. I know sign language now, and I can communicate, which in happy for. I have a boyfriend, a guy I met in Brazil. His name is Leonard, and he's working on a official citizenship in America. We're getting married in a month. Yes, I'm pretty happy with my life. And so are my friends.

I never forgot my adventures. And when I sometimes forget, I look at the burn on my hip, the burn Farlo gave me all those years ago.

My adventure is over, but I can certainly relive them. I can always say hello to Heather and Farlo with the book, if I use the spell correctly.

Sort of. But you get the idea.
