I have two best friends.
They're Radar and Mercury.
Odd names, right? Well actually, Radar's name is Rory, and Mercury's name is Allison. We gave each other nicknames when we first met.
My name is Carol. But I like to call myself Cricket.
Of course, my other best friend is my twin brother Thomas. He's in eighth grade, like me and my friends.
And he sometimes speaks for me.
I have a lot to say, I really do. It's just the world isn't ready yet for my words. And I'm still preparing myself.
We all hang together. And I like it that my friends except me for who I am. Sometimes, they know when it's time to be quiet.
What I can't say I real life, I express in dance and movements.
I'm a big dancer. I'm in pointe, lyrical, jazz, theatrical dancing, and at the moment, I'm learning tap dancing.
Sure, that's dancing four times a week, but when it's your passion, you don't really care.
So, about the story. I apologize for being off track.
Since I don't verbally present my projects in class, my teacher bombed me with a research project along with Thomas, who's falling behind.
We need to research our completely mental town.
I mean, it's nice. It's small, with an estimate of about twenty thousand people. It's really the history behind it.
Legend tells, cue the darkness and scary voice, that we once were cursed by a magician when our town leaders elected to take away his magic book, and turn his daughter into the orphanage. Then he cursed us to forever be in danger while the book was there, yada yada, scare the crap out of your two-year-olds.
Who knew it was actually real? Am I right?
So, this is the story of how Me, Mercury, Radar, and Thomas saved the town.
Sort of.
