Peridot woke up with a naked Lapis curled up against her, sleeping peacefully. She smiled, then blushed heavily upon remembering the previous night. Lapis nuzzled her face into Peridot's neck gently as she slept and the embarrassment instantly vanished.
She just held Lapis, not really wanting to do anything else. It seemed to be about 8am and they didn't really need to be doing anything, so Peridot let her cutie sleep, rubbing her back and occasionally kissing her forehead. Lapis would make a small cooing sound whenever she kissed her and it was adorable.
"I can't believe I've lived this long without you." Peridot whispered. She held Lapis like that for another hour before the blue gem finally woke up with a little yawn.
"Good morning sunshine." Peridot greeted her.
"Mmm...good morning my Peri." Lapis replied, giving Peridot a kiss goodmorning. Peridot kissed her back and gave her a squeeze.
"Did you have fun last night, Princess?" Lapis asked with a little giggle. Peridot nodded and pulled Lapis into her.
"I never knew you could be such a naughty girl." She said, kissing Lapis on the cheek.
"Only around the right gem. Namely a green one." Lapis smiled as Peridot blushed. "Come on beautiful. Let's get out of bed."
The two of them slowly climbed out of bed. Peri set her robonoids to make the bed for them as they walked, naked, to the living room.
Peridot took Lapis into the warm pool and washed her, running her fingers through her hair. Lapis smiled and just looked at Peri lovingly as she did so. She controlled tendrils of water that caressed Peridot while she clung to her. She made them wrap around her beautiful little green gem and massage her back and shoulders.
They relaxed like this for a while, smiling at each other and exchanging tender touches. After they'd had a twenty minute bath, Peridot lifted Lapis out of the water and laid her on the couch. She dried her off with a towel, then dried herself.
They both made their clothes reappear, Lapis in her blue dress and Peridot in her signature jumpsuit, but with a star on the front rather than a diamond. She also wore The necklace Pearl had given her underneath it.
"Do you want to go see the Steven?" Peridot asked, smoothing the wrinkles out of the fabric of her outfit.
"Of course, he's so silly." Lapis said. "He's probably eating his breakfast meal thingy."
"Is breakfast a human ritual or a Steven ritual?" Peridot asked as they walked out the door together.
"I think it's a human thing. I think. Some humans don't eat breakfast." Lapis said, taking Peri's hand as they walked to the beach. She felt oddly attached to the green gem after last night, and really relaxed in her presence. It was a good, warm feeling.
"Humans are strange creatures." Peridot said with a shrug. She gave Lapis' hand a light squeeze and they walked down the hill to the temple entrance. Lapis tentatively knocked on the door.
Peridot tensed up a little and held Lapis' hand a little tighter. "I'm not tolerating any rudeness from Pearl today. If she's going to talk down to us then we are leaving. Maybe we'll take Steven for lunch later or something." She thought.
Steven opened the door to reveal that the interior of the house was blue and green. Well, not exactly, but it looked as if a blue and green tornado had torn through the living room, decorative it with streamers and balloons. A large banner that read "Welcome to our Home" in blue and green letters hung by the ceiling.
"SURPRISE!" Pearl and the other crystal gems shouted, along with Steven. Amethyst blew a party kazoo and Garnet threw balloons in the air.
"Umm...what's all this?" Lapis asked.
"It's a welcome party. You know, to welcome our new friends." Steven said, pointing at Peri and Lapis.
