Lapis woke up to the sounds and lights of Peridot's dream hologram. She scooted a little closer to the sleeping gem. She was actually fairly fond of Peridot. She was really cute, and she had always been really kind to Lapis. She kinda had a little crush on her.

She watched Peridot's dream play out in hologram form. Everything seemed to be in Peridot's point of view. Lapis watched as Peridot walked through the hallways of the Homeworld prison, typing frantically on her finger pad and muttering to herself quietly. "Stupid Jasper! Having to get involved with every aspect of this stupid mission! Wanting to torture my informant! She'll never trust me again after this!" Peridot said.

Peridot tossed and turned a little in her sleep. Lapis rubbed her shoulder soothingly to comfort her as she continued to watch the hologram.

Dream Peridot walked past rows and rows of holding cells until she reached Lapis's. "Hey? Um...are you doing okay in there?..." Peridot asked Lapis.

"No. Go away..." Lapis replied bitterly.

"I just...I need to move you to another cell." Peridot said urgently.

"Why? So I can be closer to your interrogation room?" Lapis said, annoyed.

"Yes." Peridot replied shortly. She hurriedly opened Lapis' door, energy cuffed her, and led her to her new cell near the interrogation room and Peridot's temporary work space. She held the door open for her and Lapis walked in and sat on the bench by the far wall.

"I...I'm sorry." Peridot said before walking her way down the hall.

"Oh I do hope that is enough. Her former cell block is going to be emptied and moved soon. I couldn't have the guards torturing her. I can't believe Yellow Diamond lets them force other gems to fuse. It's sick!" Peridot said grumpily.

"What was that I hear? You moved a prisoner without permission?" Jasper said, coming down the hallway.

"I have every authority to keep MY prisoners where I need them to be Jasper." Peridot said, rolling her eyes.

"Oh I know. But you didn't ask for MY permission." Jasper said. She pushed Peridot up into one of the energy cell doors and Peridot shrieked in agony. Jasper held her against it, laughing

Suddenly the hologram ended and Peridot slammed bolt upright, panting. Her arm cannon was at the ready and she looked around frantically.

"Peridot it's okay...it was only a nightmare." Lapis said. She had no idea how much Peridot had risked for her back on Homeworld. She gave the green gem a squeeze. "It's okay now I got you."

"I don't like sleeping." Peridot said, scooting in against Lapis. "Dreams are...unpleasant."

Lapis held her soothingly. "You just had a nightmare Peri. Not all dreams are bad." Lapis said reassuringly. Peridot snuggled up against her, obviously frightened by her dream.

"I didn't know you did that for me..." Lapis said, rubbing Peridot's back

"I did a lot for you. And I would do a lot more." She replied. She began to relax into the blue gem's arms again.

Lapis bit her lip. "Why does she have to be so adorable?" She thought to herself. Peridot wrapped her arms around her and they just cuddled, wasting the night away in each other's embrace.
