~Ali's POV~
"Vincent's been gone a long time." Scott pointed out, glancing at his watch.
"I'll go check on him," I said, sighing and climbing to my feet.
I walked toward the pizzeria and opened the door. I walked in and looked over, only to see the man I'd warned Vincent to stay away from holding a knife to Vincent's throat.
The man looked up at the sound of the door closing.
"Ah, now I have two psychopaths to get rid of. How lovely." He muttered, grinning.
"Step away from him or I swear to God, V-"
"Is the little girl threatening me, now?" He said, laughing.
"What the heck did you just call me?" I growled, taking a step closer to him, my hands balled into fists.
He let go of Vincent and lowered his knife, clearly amused by me.
"I called you a little girl. I'm sorry, is that not what you are?" He let a sly grin spread on his face.
That's it.
I ran at him and he tried to push me away, but I overpowered him somehow and pushed him to the ground. I smiled in satisfaction.
He grunted and stood back up, rubbing his head. He smirked at me and put the knife away.
"I see you've improved quite a bit since the last time I saw you. You know, it's really a shame you're putting your talents to waste protecting this idiot." He said, chuckling and taking a step closer to me.
I just shrugged, smirking.
"It's funny how you protect a killer, one who ruined your life, at that."
"He's lying, Alison!" Vincent snapped.
I looked over at Vincent. He was pressed up against the wall, pale and obviously terrified of the man in front of me.
I chuckled and turned back to the man. "I know, Vincent." I growled.
"I've lied a lot before, but this... This is true, Ali."
"Like I'd trust you." I growled coldly, then grabbed him by his neck. He scowled and struggled beneath me, kicking trying to pry my hands away from his throat.
"Ali- ack!- it's V-Vincent you want. Not m-me!"
"Lies, lies and more lies."
He finally pried my hands from his neck and then grabbed my wrists, pulled my hands into the air, and then shoved me against the wall. I struggled to get free, but it seemed hopeless.
"Vincent, run!" I shouted. The man hesitated, but then took off speeding toward the door.
The man's cold grey eyes met mine.
"You could've helped me, Alison." He growled.
"I could've, but I didn't. Because I don't know if you've figured it out yet, but some things are more important than you."
His eyes narrowed down to slits as I continued to struggle, but then as a final try to get free I kneed him hard in the stomach without warning. He gritted his teeth, but still kept me pinned against the wall. He pulled the knife from his pocket and put it on my throat. He was about to drive it into my neck when I jerked out of the way. The knife only barely cut the side of my neck.
I realized I had one hand free now since he'd used it to get out his knife, so I punched him right in the mouth. He groaned in pain as blood began to slowly leak from his mouth, and dropped his knife. I smirked and shoved him off and then grabbed the knife and made a run for the door, making it to the doorway before he could recover and catch up.
~Vincent's POV~
As soon as she yelled for me to ran, I ran. I ran and didn't look back.
Now I knew for sure that man was out to kill me.
I made it to the others and collapsed beside (Y/N), breathing heavily.
"V-Vincent? What happened!?"
I hugged her, smiling weakly, but didn't reply. I looked up and eyed the door, waiting for Ali to come out as I tried to catch my breath. A few minutes passed but then she came running out.
She came down there. I noticed a cut on her neck and winced.
"You okay, Vincent?" She muttered, catching her breath.
"Y-Yeah," I stuttered. "You?"
"Just a cut and maybe a few bruises, but I'm okay. Oh, and I got your knife, pretty boy." She shoved the knife over to me, and I cautiously grabbed it and put it back in my pocket.
"Th-Thanks," I breathed quietly. She looked at me, grinned, and said, "See? I told ya you'd thank me later." I rolled my eyes.
"Do you think he'll come back?" I whispered quietly.
"I don't know. Probably. But not if there's a lot of us together at one time. He's smart; he knows when he's outnumbered." She mumbled. There was a long silence after that.
"What happened in there?" Scott quizzed, breaking the silence. Mike was staring at Ali, probably expecting that she'd tried to murder me again, and Jeremy looked just as pale as he had when he's seen Ali.
Ali looked up at him, then glanced around, looking at everyone else.
"All I can say is... We're just not safe anymore." She breathed. "None of us."
