~later that night~
~Vincent's POV~
I kept running.
Sure, I knew it was all just a nightmare, but I had this instinct to keep running.
I ran through the alley and turned a corner, only to be met with a dead end.
"No... No, no, no...!"
Maniacal laugher rang around the space and bounced off the cold alley walls, creating echoes.
I forced my hands over my ears as my eyes shot around the space. I shut my eyes tight, and when I opened them, I was met with a man holding a gun to my head.
I gasped, but at that moment I blinked awake.
I groaned and rubbed my head. I hate my stupid nightmares. Couldn't they pick on someone else for once?
I sat up and sighed, then got to my feet. I looked over at the clock. 2:46. Ugh.
I groaned again and dragged myself out of the room and into the kitchen. Might as well get me a glass of water while I'm awake.
I walked into the kitchen and started searching the cupboards for a glass to pour the water in. Suddenly I heard what sounded like a floorboard or door creak, and before I could turn around to see what it had been or if I was just being paranoid again, someone forced a cloth over my mouth, gagging me.
I panicked and kicked at my attacker. They pulled the cloth away from my mouth and I opened my mouth to yell out, but they forced a liquid down my throat. I breathed as they forced the cloth over my mouth and nose again.
I slowly felt my consciousness begin to slip away as I heard a familiar voice choke out, "I'm sorry, Vincent..."
