V14) Today was the day of the ball Xavier was throwing. My arm was still healing, so I picked a long sleeved off the shoulder red dress to wear tonight. The ball started and I was pretty much put in the corner with all the other vampires' human pets. Tristan was there at least, so I got to talk to him again. I saw quite a few kids from our school was at the ball, even Blondie was here. Damien told me their dads were part of the Parliament, so their parents were pretty important people. A few hours into the ball, Xavier called me and Damien to the stage so I could sing the song we practiced. I didn't know what to think about singing to a bunch of vampires, but it was pretty awesome to see their scowls turn into their jaws dropping once I started to sing. After the song, we both bowed as the crowd was clapping. My arm started to hurt and I felt kind of dizzy, so I hurried off stage and ran to my room. I went into the bathroom and washed my face with water. I guess stage fright must've gotten to me. I pulled down the sleeve of my dress to check on the stitches when someone opened the door. I quickly pulled the sleeve up and when I saw it was Damien who opened the door. "You can knock on the door instead of barging in." I said to him. He walked up to me and said, "What's on your arm?" "Nothing." I replied to him. He roughly grabbed my arm and I winced at the pain. He held it more gently and pulled down the sleeve. I could see in the anger in his face when he saw the claw marks. "I knew it. You weren't just taking a walk that day, you were with those werewolves. Who did this?" He said angrily. "Derek." I said quietly. He let go of my arm and walked into the bedroom. I followed after him and said, "Maybe if you gave them a chance you see that they are nice people!" "Nice people?? Look at what they did to your arm? You still defend him after what he did to you?" Damien shouted back at me. "This only happened because he saw that you bit me. I'm not mad at him for it. I just want you to give them a chance, Damien. I want to show you what I see in them and I want them to see what I see in you." I told him. He started to pace back and forth angrily as he thought about something. After a few minutes of this I started to get annoyed. "Just say something already!" I shouted at him. He suddenly stopped and used his vampire speed to stand in front of me. He quickly grabbed my face and the next thing I know, he kisses me. I'm so shocked by this that I just stand there. Is this really happening? He pulled away and stared straight into my eyes. "You're so stubborn and reckless. You drive me crazy every single day, yet I've fallen so hard in love with you that I think I'm insane because of it. I've never felt so much a live around anyone except you. The thought of you getting hurt just tears me up on the inside, and the day that you left just made me realize my real feelings. I love you, Rose. Can't you see that?" Damien said to me. My heart was beating so hard in my chest that I swear everyone downstairs could hear it. I didn't know what to say, so I just grabbed the back of his neck and pushed my lips against his. He was shocked at first, but then he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed back. The kiss was full of passion and it was the best kiss I ever had. Unknowingly to us, someone in the hallway heard our love confessions.

[Damien and Rose are finally together, kinda. Confessing is just the first step for a relationship to blossom. Who was eavesdropping on this special moment between the two love birds? Y'all will find out soon enough! >:)]
