Beauty of the Night

Is it weird that I stay up at night

And I can't get myself to fall asleep

I choose to see things for what they might be
Instead of everything and all the fallacies

I can't close my eyes
I'm afraid of all the stars I might miss

And one moment away from the darkened sky
Is one less step towards heaven's light

This silence is what makes me whole
When everything seems gone in the end

The solitude I feel at night
Is unparalleled at its sight

I feel all the wasted emotions in the air
From a day spent trying to be fair

And this bliss is what I live for
It can't be taken away by anyone anymore

I won't go to sleep and miss these dreams
Here in my own sane reality

I can finally make out who I am
It's finally not all in my head

The quietness is my joy and peace
My beating heart can feel its pace

Even though I'm surrounded by darkness
The veil will not repel me

Enrapture me in this intense beauty
Of what the world was meant to be

The serenity of the calm
The quietness from out of the storm

The stars will guide us all back home
Down the path only few can see

When we stay up on look outside
We can finally see the beauty of the night
