I once thought about letting go
Of all the sadness
But it pulled me in closer than my own heartbeat
And cuddled me in a blanket of despair
I once let myself fall
Into the pits of hell
To feel it breathe against my skin
And give sensation into my lifeless hands
I once cried at night
And wept a puddle of tears
So deep you could drown
So clear you could see your own soul
I once felt alone
Isolated by the ringing silence
Crushed by my own comatose
Where I drifted into the somber nothingness
